I had some blood tests at my GP. I didn't hear anything back from them and when I called to get results they said they would call me back. I didn't hear back.

I then received a referral letter to the infertility clinic with a questionnaire and a brochure about infertility so I think its safe to assume my progesterone was low?

I sent the letter off but its been a few weeks and I'm really not sure what to do now. Should I make another appointment at my GP? I don't really know what is going on...

What is other peoples experience? Did you get a call or a letter with an appointment time? I told my GP that I am happy to go private and asked for a referral for a private clinic or even just some information on one and was told I have to go this route first and the clinic will provide paying options.

I would be so grateful if you could share exactly what happened in your experiences?

Hey 😊 my husband and I have been ttc since Oct 2015 and after not preventing but not trying for about 6 -8 months I went to gp. My cycles are irregular and I even had no period for 4 months in 2016. I think maybe it was my body adjusting to coming off the pill? Anyway, when I told gp all this they booked me in for swabs and blood test to check hormones etc before referring me. All tests were normal so they then said they cant refer me to fertility specialist until my husband had semen analysis done. So he had to go to gp to arrange this and gor sorted - all normal. Then I finally got the letter referring me to fertility clinic with an appointment. At the clinic they checked my blood and said I ovulated due to hormone level but I had to call up and chase them about it. To this day I dont trust the level they said I had (17) as being indicative of ovulation. Everywhere else online seems to think you need a level of 35 to prove it happens. Anyway here we are still trying in 2018. Periods have normalised a bit but are still irregular. Sorry for the long post - just wanted to give you some context. I would deffo ring them again and chase them uo as it is such a long process so best not to delay! Good luck - hope we both get our bfps one day Smile
