Hi there,

We've recently started ttc and I don't think I was fully prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions I'd be feeling.

I think I've been though every feeling possible, excitement, fear, nervousness, worry... I was hoping I'd be a bit more laid back this time!

Anyway it's been 11 years since My last pregnancy and it seems so much has changed since then, I've been reading the threads on here and it's just occurred to me that I haven't prepared my self with ovulation tests, pre pregnancy vitamins and pregnancy tests - feeling like a rookie right now.

My question is which of the above would you recommend? I was thinking of buying a few packs of digital tests so I don't torture myself with the lines, but I think I might drive myself crazy with testing and they are quite expensive!

Does anyone have any advice?

Looking forward to getting to know the posters here Smile

I'm 7 weeks pregnant currently with my second, my first will be 15 by the time this one is born so you're not alone!

I didn't use ovulation kits but I fell pregnant within 3 months of trying.

My best advice would be initially to download the Flo app to track your cycle.

In terms of pregnancy tests I used amazon to buy first response tests on.

Good luck!

Work out when you are ovulating - if you can do this without kits do - it’s yucky but looking at your cervical mucus is best. If you need help them use the ovulation kits
Yes you need to be taking folic acid whilst ttc
Pregnancy tests - first response line tests will tell you first! You might not get a positive on a digital until a few days later as they are less sensitive
Good luck - it’s all about timing so working out ovulation is the key then basically time sex for 2 days before, 1 day before and day of ovulation
