I've been getting signs of ovulation; ewcm, increased libido and even a pain in the left side of my abdomen but I did an IC OPK test last night and again today and there was barely a second line there at all! Does this mean I'm not ovulating at all? Have I just missed it by a few days? I'm only cd 13 and weve dtd twice since cd 8 to be safe (again tonight hopefully!). Never used opks properly but whenever I've tried one I've had a stronger second line than this! Did a IC pregnancy test too just to be safe and of course it was negative. Anyone have any insite? Thanks!

Ok, think I'm getting the hang of these things! I think I was wrong about my timibg and I actually ovulate a few days later than I though. These go from most recent on the left to oldest on the right, with the middle two both done yesterday. Based on these I ovulated yesterday right? We dtd last night, and ever 2-3 days since cycle day 8, so I should have caught it; timing wise at least? Once more for luck again tomorrow? Fingers crossed we have luck on our side this month!

Following this lovely, I thought lines get stronger when LH peaks to trigger the release so it can be 24 - 48 hours after can't it? I haven't used OPKs in a while but am using them this cycle so this will be useful for me :) xx

My understanding is your strongest line means you will ovulate in the next 12-36 hours. The line is for the ovulation hormone surge, and the ovulation itself happens 12+ hours later after that surge.

OPKs are only positive when both lines are the same colour or the test line is darker than the control. Those are all negative. You could have ovulated but just missed the surge during testing.

This was today's; which my app tells me is my peak day. I think its the darkest so far. This wasnt fmu or even held for that long though because I was looking after ds at the time. I think if we dtd tonight im pleased we will have had pretty good timing; that would be every 2-3 days starting from cd8.

That's more like a positive, I'd expect ovulation around tomorrow.
