More of a moan than anything else but is anyone else getting constant mild cases of thrush? It is doing my head in! I read that lots of sex can change the PH due to sperm so it makes you a better environment for it. What a cruel joke that is! Anyone else in the same boat? What do you do about treating in the 2ww?

Check out tea tree pessaries. You can make your own with a tampon that seems to do the trick! Not sure I've ever used them during tww though, so do some research that it's safe...

These two things cured thrush for me whilst ttc: these natural pessaries:

And a Mooncup. As soon as I stopped using tampons the difference was amazing. Hope this helps.

Thanks both!

could be coincidence but i had severe thrush 6 DPO and i was pregnant. (obviously i didnt know at the time ).

i was out in the bush on holiday and not a pharmacy in miles. i sat in cold water, drank loads of water and citric soda.

you can also put 2 tbls plain yoghurt on a pad and wear it... it sounds disgusting, but its the best relief as the yoghurt has good bacteria and neutralizes the acidity fast.

hope you feel better soon

ALRM · 06/06/2018 14:32

Thanks @isittime it's not bad, just very mild but regularly recurring in a way I have never had in my life before!

Has your partner been treated even if they have no symptoms? You could both be passing it back and forth

Tumilnaughts · 06/06/2018 17:32

I used to suffer from thrush all the time when I was on the pill. Best relief was soaking a tampon in plain all natural yogurt and inserting It for about a half hour. Warning though- it's extremely messy!

Me me me! I kept getting it around ovulation as well. The best thing I used was these individual applicators from Superdrug I think the brand name was Flora plus or something. It’s specifically for yeast infections and it’s a course of 5, one a night before you go to bed (and sleep with a pad) and avoid sex for a few hours before or after as it might harm sperm but no evidence really to suggest it does. You just insert them up and squeeze out the contents of the tube straight up there! Funnily enough it also did wonders to my CM as made it very slippery “up there” and I actually got pregnant the two times I used it haha, don’t know if it was because of that but hey! X
