Am I Pregnant or not?!

First let me say this isn't one of those thread where the only sensible answer is POAS!

We've been TTC no2 for 9 months now, and this month my period is 5 days late so I took a test this morning. I got a faint positive, then a couple of hours later started spotting - not heavily, just when I wiped.

Surely it would be too late for implantation bleeding? Could it be anything other than a bad outcome?

Congrats on the BFP! It could still technically be implantation because the bean still implants for a few weeks. Could just be hormonal etc. Obviously I don’t need to tell you what the worst outcome it but cross that bridge when/if you get to it. There’s literally nothing you can do apart from wait it out and see what happens with the spotting! GL x

Bleeding in early pregnancy is actually quite common. It can be caused by a lot of different things (implantation, breakthrough bleeding, unknown 'normal' bleeding, cervix bleeding etc) so it's not necessarily a bad thing. Only time will tell unfortunately, so try to relax and go with the flow (which I know is easier said than done).

KnitKitty and Ells0204 thank you both. Spotting seems to have stopped so fingers crossed. I'd forgotten how nerve-wracking things were after getting a BFP!

Hi @KnitKitty thank you for asking. No more spotting since that first day and I got a stronger positive test the next day. So fingers crossed all is well. I’m 5 weeks today according to the Glow app. Hope you have a lovely Sunday :)
