Quick questions for charting/temping experts.

I usually takemy temp anytime between 5.30and 6.30(basically whenever ds wakes up - since he has quite grasped the idea of letting mummy have a lie in yet)

Anyway I was just wondering how much effect on temperature there would be if the last 2 hours before normal temp time were pretty disturbed.

Would it be higher or lower than usual. My last two temps are high making look like i have O'd already but it seems far too early in the cycle

not sure it has a consistent effect - but it certainly makes them unreliable - I think you are supposed to take it after 3 hours at least of unbroken sleep.

Hi throckenholt. Thanks for reply. Guess I'll just have to take tomorrows temp as soon as ds wakes me up extra early again and see how it goes.

Hi it would probably be higher than usual after a disturbance. Best bet would be to temp as soon as you wake up first whatever time that is (as long as you've had 3 hours sleep) and then adjust it up or down to your normal time. I think it's 0.5 for each 1/2 hour. HTH

There is also a thread of ladies who post their daily temps here It is great to discuss the whole process with others doing the same. I am 6 weeks pg and can?t bring myself to give up yet. I had a MC at 10 weeks in March and am determined to temp until that point this time, last time I gave up at about 5 weeks. It is scary sometimes as my temps seem to jump between 2 figs most days as they did last time but they are still way above my coverline and I feel fine and have no spotting (unlike last time) so hopefully these are all good signs hope to see you on one of the other threads
