Agnus Castus

Hi all,

I'm sure this has been done loads before but I'm looking into taking Agnus Castus for a while to a) relieve
PMS symptoms and b) try and get my cycle a bit more settled after coming off the pill. Currently I've been off Cerelle for 7 weeks and had no bleed but have every PMS symptoms possible- I've never been so desperate for a period!!

There are so different recommendations on brands and dosages; any suggestions from here please? The Holland and Barrett ones are only 4mg compared to ones on Amazon which are 400mg! So a massive difference!

I used it after coming off the pill. I didn't have a bleed for nearly six months so I started taking Agnus Castus and within about a month I had my first period, although that could be coincidence. I got pregnant the following cycle.

I just used the ones from Holland and Barrett. I think a lower dose is probably safer, at least to start with. I don't think you are supposed to take it while actively trying to conceive, or at least only take it until you ovulate.

That's what I thought. Yes was only going to take it for one full cycle as I don't think I've ovulated at all yet, so would be good to get going! Then only take it in the two weeks prior to ovulation.

Great to hear another positive story though, think I'm going to give it a try!
