What on earth does THIS mean? Invalid test?

Hi everyone.

I'm currently 9 or 10 DPO and decided to grab a Sainsbury's pregnancy test. It's a bit early as my period isn't due until the 6th, but I caved and gave in to temptation Grin

I ended up with THIS result. Wtf does this mean? The control line isn't completely filled. I've never seen this happen with a Sainsbury's test before. Is this test invalid? I must admit I didn't hold it in my stream very well and got quite a bit near the results window.

Thanks!

Dip. Always dip the test. That's a negative... sorry.

I wouldn't call it invalid as such as there's obviously a strong control line. But yes, dipping is better (and less risk of peeing on yourself!). No risk of getting pee too far up.

So you think it's negative rather than invalid? It's just that in every picture I've seen and in the instructions, the horizontal line is completely filled, not half filled, even in tests that are negative.

Argh, so annoying!

I don’t understand what is wrong with it.

It’s showing a clear negative result.
