Weird cycle with spotting and cm happening at random times anyone had this?

This cycle has been really weird and I wondered if anyone had experienced similar. I didn't really get EWCM when I was meant to be in my fertile window. Instead I had random pink spotting on cycle days 13 and 16. Now I'm on cycle day 25 and been having abundant watery cm which is almost like EWCM for three days now. My period is due on Thursday. Does anyone have any insights into what might be happening? I don't temp so I don't know whether I ovulated or not. Help please!

Hi @Secretlifeofme I've not experienced this but if you're getting ewcm could it be you're ovulating later this month? It's probably a bit too early to test so I'd be inclined to dtd and maybe prepare for your af not to show on Thursday if you are only ovulating now. I could be totally wrong though!

Thanks Venus. We DTD today and will do it tomorrow too, so hopefully I've covered all bases! Just don't know why I had the random pink spotting Confused

I have read that sometimes ovulation can cause spotting, so it could be that. But that doesn't explain the cm! Fingers crossed for you :)

It could be implantation. It's not unusual to get spotting and or ewcm around then. Good luck!

@Secretlifeofme - hi! I noticed I didn't have any ewcm when I thought I should but got quite a bit about a week after. I kept searching for answers online as mine was kind of ewcm too. I got my bfp last week so I really hope this is it for you. Good luck xx

I've had all over the place symptoms and I had just come off the pill so I put it down to that. Now I seem to be ovulating at the time it says on the apps (according to EWCM) so maybe things are settling?

I'm not in the UK and it's now early on CD 26. Just got up to go to the loo and there is still EWCM! Loads of it. Surely I can't be ovulating this late?!

@KimRobs87 I have some tests but I don't want to do it too early after driving myself crazy for a few months. I was thinking of waiting until at least Tuesday, which would be CD28. Do you think there's a chance I might be pg?

Thank you! We did DTD in the fertile window (although not as much as I would have liked because DH was away for work) and we have DTD the last couple of days while I've been having the EWCM so I feel as though we've tried our best this month Grin I'll keep you posted!

In the meantime, any advice from anyone who has had EWCM leading up to AF would be much appreciated :)

Is the cm really thick slippy stuff and loads of it? If so could be a pregnancy sign.

Thanks @Peregrine1 for your reply. It's not massively thick, but it is very slippery and there's definitely lots of it. I keep feeling wet down below Blush

I think watery cm is quite normal just before your period. I don't know if it's a sign of pregnancy or not though...

Really @HidCat? I always get very dry just before my period Confused but there are so many conflicting ideas on the internet I don't know what to think!

I think it's one of those thbigs where everyone is different tbh. It's only relevant that ewcm is around ovulation and at other times it varies. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Now CD27 here and if anything the CM has increased. Also, by this stage I would normally have some spotting if AF were on the way. But I don't want to test and be disappointed :/

The problem is, I don't know because I don't temp, plus I didn't get EWCM or ovulation pains in my fertile week this month like I normally do, so I don't even know if I've ovulated ConfusedSad. I would guess around 10 or 11?
