Hi I’m preparing my body to try for our first baby with my partner and I was wondering what’s the best vit/folic acid to take? I was going to go with ‘seven seas trying for a baby’ does anyone have any reccomendafions? Much appreciated x

Hi, I used them. I tried them for the first time last month and got my bfp last Friday! Good look x

I took a combined folic acid and vitamin d pill. It took eight months to conceive, so was on them for a good length of time.

Morrisons folic acid and Aldi vitamin d. Unless you are a really really fussy eater there is no need for the preconception ones, they are just a waste of money, and extra pricey simply because they say "conception".

What are your thoughts on omega 3? Xx

I used Seven Seas Trying For A Baby. Totally coincidentally, I'm sure, I conceived the two cycles I used Seven Seas and didn't conceive the cycles I used Pregnacare, but they are just vitamins so I doubt there's any link! The Pregnacare ones made me feel a bit weird which is why I switched back to Seven Seas (I'd bought them originally cos there was a deal on).

Superdrug own brand have the same stuff as Pregnacare for a third of the price.

Thank you xx

I'd like to add that I conceived first month trying 3 times! I wouldn't say it had anything to do with the vitamins!

Omega 3 is only useful in the right ratio to omega 6.

Most vitamins just make very expensive wee!

RR2018 · 01/06/2018 20:59

Thanks for that xx

Seven seas ones lengthen my already long cycle. I just take folic acid now.

wolfinfoxesclothing · 01/06/2018 22:35

I used Lloyd's pharmacy own brand pregnancy multivitamins but now take boots own brand pregnancy ( as still breastfeeding) Much cheaper !

I take at night as on an empty stomach the folic acid can make you feel a bit weird.

Thank you xxx
