Am I out if FRER is negative at 7/8DPO?

I'm currently 7, MAYBE 8DPO. I'm not exactly sure when I ovulated, but I had a very positive OPK on the 22nd and my fiancé and I dtd that night. We weren't able to dtd any other time during my fertile window as he went away to a training course for work the next day and was gone for four days, damn him . With my last pregnancy I fell pregnant after having sex once during my fertile window, so it can happen for me! Though that was the pregnancy I lost

I took a strip test today (not with FMU) and got what I think is a very very faint line, but I then took a FRER a couple of hours later and it was negative.

I'm beginning to think the 'positive' strip test was actually an evap, even though the line was pink. FRERs are supposed to be more sensitive than strip tests so why would a strip test be positive and an FRER negative?

Am I out if a FRER comes back negative at 7/8DPO? Is there any point in testing tomorrow with FMU?

Absolutely not. I got this on 9dpo and this is quite early. You might not have even implanted yet xx

I didn’t get a line on a FRER until 11DPO, 7-8DPO is very early so don’t lose hope! GL! X

I can take 7-12 days for implantation, so I wouldn't be ruling anything out just yet x

@colbaltrose your not out till af arrives, fingers crossed for you, I’m also 9dpo this morning with fmu I had bfn. Something niggled at me to retest and this afternoon after 3 faint bfps on cheapies (all different pees couple of hours apart but all had faint line) 🙈 I got a first response (not the sensitive one) and I got my bfp on that too. Some people don’t get bfp until after missed period and you may not have implanted yet, hoping you all get your bfps xx

7-8 is really far too early to test, so no, not out.

You're better DTD in the run up to getting the positive OPK as it's better to have sperm waiting for the egg rather than waiting for the positive and then DTD. Sperm takes 10 hours to be able to fertilise an egg (capacitation), and an egg only lasts 24 hours. Timing is everything!

Tests can show positive from 9 DPO, but waiting longer / until after AF is due will give you more accurate results (I'm an early tester too and have had early - 9-10 DPO - positives, but not everyone will be able to, depending on implantation).

You are not out. I got a very faint looked like an Evap line only about 9 or 10 dpo honestly you could barely make it out and it took a while to appear. I then got bfns until about 11/12dpo when I got bfp on frer but faint. My lines on other tests were faint compared to frer
