Grapefruit Juice & Pineapple Juice!!??

Hey all,

So from the start of this cycle I've been drinking pure grapefruit juice (a glass each evening) leading up to and during my fertile week as "apparently" it helps with your CM! Again not sure if it has actually helped or not... And now I am 3DPO and have been drinking pure pineapple juice (again a glass each evening) as "apparently" it helps with implantation?

Was just wondering if these things actually helped anyone.... because all I know is that the pineapple juice is bloody awful haha! 😂👏🏻

Would be interesting to see if I'm not the only crazy one trying this out this month or have before... and there stories!! 🙊😂👏🏻

Pineapple juice will do naff all. Apparently its the fresh pineapple, especially the core.
It contains bromelain which essentially acts as a blood thinner (preventing clotting between baby and you as it implants). That's the idea behind it anyway, I guess you'd have to get into the nitty gritty to figure out how much you'd need personally to help or if it would hinder.

I've heard some swear by it but I personally tried it for a few months and naff all happened. It was the months I gave up trying I got pregnant...
I think essentially the longer you try the more likely hood of actually eventually conceiving right? I dunno. That's what I tell myself every time and then just hope like hell for a sticky one.

this could totally just be a coincidence but the month I got my BFP was the first month I tried drinking/eating lots of grapefruit which wasn't difficult as I love the stuff and I ate a lot of pineapple, no juice.

this may sound weird but I also researched the best foods and found something to do with any fruit that looks similar to the female reproductive organs! I ate lots of pomegranates and figs that month as well!

Could well be nonsense but the way i saw it, it's fruit which is good for you anyway so the worse that could happen is i eat some nutritious food and don't get a BFP. I'm now 9 weeks +4 :)

@welshsoph ... tell me about it! I'm the same with supplements... just feels like another thing to do and remember!!! But I guess what will be will be 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

@emmafh3 thanks for the info... I get where your coming from, it is true what they say... the less you stress the better things will be... 😊 And a lot of people have said it's when they 'don't try' that it happens!!

@bubblesPls CONGRATS!!! 🙌🏻👏🏻 Thanks for the info.... love hearing stories like that! It could have made no difference or all of the difference... glad you got your BFP!! And like you said... extra nutritions never hurt anyone 😉

No idea about the grapefruit juice. But I've heard it also helps make a welcome ph level environment. I ate pineapple core from cd1-cd5 and got my bfp that month. I'm now almost 12 weeks. So it worked for me. I just got a whole pineapple and cut it into 5 slices and at a whole slice each morning including the core (supposedly it's the core that has the implantation goodness) it works similar to an aspirin (apparently) and thins the blood which promotes implantation. I'm not a doctor... this is all what I've read. Good luck!

This cycle I started using concieve plus because my cm was virtually non existent....I got my bfp 2 days ago!
