After months of no period and a lot of upset with my GP I went privately to see if I could get some answers.. had low iron levels amongst other things so talked through how to get myself fully healthy and was prescriped norethisterone to reset my cycles and hopefully go back to being regular.

Only confusion is, I take the first pill yesterday morning go to the toilet literally minutes later and there's blood now I know this happened way to quickly and is completely unrelated but what a strange coincidence after so long with no period.

Anyway it continued light and dark red most of the day and today it's just brown, like the end of the period. I didn't take any more Of the pills because it looked like it had finally happened naturally, but less than a fully day of blood isn't normal for me especially after so long.

I've already had a battering on here for wasting GP time, so I won't go back but hence the need for another thread as I'm bloody clueless and only really have the GP or here to ask for help but does anyone have any opinions on whether I should keep taking the norethisterone or whether I should count this as period?

Its like my body knew I was finally getting some help and decided to totally fuck with me Grin

Could you leave a message with the private doctor's secretary? You've paid them and have a legitimate query.
