Hi guys :3 - first post.

I'm 26 and DH is 28.
I've had implanon for 9 years!! It just came out on the 16th.
Nurse said things would go back to normal within 7-21 days but that I might not get a period in that time. She said that doesn't mean we can't get pregnant in that time though.
I haven't had regular periods for the last 9 years so have no idea what my cycle is like but we started trying after the 7 day mark.
Ttc baby #1 after 5 years of marriage.

So I could be on the tww... or not.
Body feels a little weird right now!
Anyone else in the same boat?
I'm very new to a lot of topics so have been reading up. Most of the acronyms make little sense to me though.
Looking forward to having people other than DH to talk to! No one else knows we are Thanks Grin
X

Hi Bas, i’m in a similar boat - came off the implant this month. I’ve been on implants for 4 years, but constant various forms of contraception (pill, injection etc) for a total of 13 years. I’m 27. I was told that whilst theoretically I could get pregnant immediately, they would think it ‘normal’ for my body to take 6 months to get cycles back and stabilise as I haven’t been having periods on the implant either.

Hi both, I'm not a newbie as such but wanted to welcome you to the TTC boards and let you know that I went straight back to fairly regular cycles after having my implant out and coming off the pill when TTC my DS. Some people do take a couple of cycles to regulate but don't count on it! Good luck with your TTC journey ladies!

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 29/05/2018 07:25

I had the same one taken out.
Had ds 9 months and ten days later!!

Hid and April - that’s really fab to hear your experiences thank you! Smile Trying not to get my hopes up - but the sooner the better!

Sounds good Bas - how do you ‘mention’ someone? Still very new to MN... Confused

Bas27 · 29/05/2018 11:46

@dinosauraddict I joined yesterday lol!
It's like fb @ and then name 🙂
Going to get wisdom teeth out later and I think I'm going to have to POAS even though it's too early! Also... this helped me especially for those pesky few I couldn't figure out!
