I have 11 days before af is due - we only dtd on cd6 and I have a 29 day cycle so I am not holding out much hope, but still symptom spotting if anyone wants to join me in the craziness of ttc !

Hi guys... just checking in.
How is everyone doing?

So, due to not knowing anything about my cycle after NINE YEARS of no periods, I guessed the cycle.
It seems too early for pms but I have backache, sore boobs and fatigued. Been cramping on and off for a few days.
By guesstimates I'm on cd23 10dpo. Did poas yesterday but not fmu and bfn. Going to fmu tomorrow.
Am I silly to think I might still get bfp?

@Bas27 9 years of no periods?! I'm so pleased you've got something going after all that time! It's not too much to hope for a BFP but brace yourself. Most people take at least a few cycles to catch the egg. I'm really hoping that you've got lucky first time though. 🤞

It was the implant - I didn't get them anymore. Bare in mind that I was 17 when I went on it. 12 when I got my first period. So 5 years of teen cycles and then nothing for 9 years. It's hard to figure out wtf is going on!
I'm just hoping that my body does go back to normal I've read loads of threads and it's taken some people nearly a year to even get their periods back!
Tentatively hoping for the best.

@Bas27 ah that explains it. I had 2 years of no periods on the implant and 2 years of light periods but with mid cycle spotting. My cycle went back to normal straight away so hopefully yours have too.

Just a quick update. Af was due yesterday and no sign yet but I chickened out of doing a test this morning ... scared it will be a bfn if no af today I guess I will do one tomorrow xx

@Kr250710 I've read that those tests have a higher detection threshold than some others. Maybe try a FRER?

Did another test last night that was essentially -ve but AF hasn’t turned up yet and I feel super queasy with metallic taste in mouth so I’m staying hopeful for now

4 days til AF due and another BFN. Boo. Even though I know it's a tad early to test, I have a sinking feeling it isn't going to happen x

Pretty sure I’m out, have had -ve FRER, not sure if that’s just due to hydration but managed to get a sliver of a line on a Lloyd’s own test this afternoon but I’m just awaiting the arrival of AF realistically

@dartmoordoughnut When is AF due for you? A sliver of a line, there’s still hope! Either way fingers crossed for you and if AF comes let’s hope the July bus is a win for us both :) x

I'm out too. AF has shown up five days early. I'm disappointed, but I'm also worried about having such a short cycle.
