13DPO - AF like symptoms - BFN :(

I could really do with some advice.

My OH and I had unprotected sex 2 weeks ago tomorrow on my ovulating day. All this week I have had no symptoms that AF is coming to visit-until yesterday! It’s unusual for me. I typically suffer excruciating cramps the week leading up to AF along with really painful breasts. I’m due today and I keep running to check whether she’s shown her ugly head. The pain is nothing like it usually is. It feels more heavy and full than cramping and it’s intermittent rather than constantly there.
I also had a BFN on Thursday evening (11 days DPO/2 days before AF) but not sure if I tested too early. I’m having some dizziness but not sure if this is down to stressing over what might not be!
Has anyone else experienced the same kind of symptoms and ended up with a BFP?
I feel like I’m going out of my mind waiting for either AF to show or to leave it long enough to test again😣 My cycle is very regular. 28 days on the dot for as long as I can remember and usually shows in a morning.

Hi I'm pretty much the same as you 12dpo af is due on Monday so I'm anxiously waiting. Normally a couple of days running up to af I have brown spotting but I've had nothing today. My boobs have been bigger and sore this whole week but this is normal for me when af is due. My period last month was a lot lighter I only bled for about 2 days but ended up with a bfn. I've put my lighter period down to me taking evening primrose oil last month so I haven't taken any this month at all....I've managed to hold off testing at all and I won't until af is late I've learned my lesson from previous months of bfn's! Sorry I can't be more helpful but thought I'd let you know you're not alone.💐

It’s so frustrating Naomi! Kind of comforting to see so many people who have the same feelings. I’m on edge. If I get to midnight with no AF then I’m officially late...definitely warrants another test!!

It's so comforting especially when I feel like my oh has probably had enough of my symptom spotting and no one knows we are ttc so there's no one I can vent to. I have no idea when to test I'm due Monday so if nothing then I guess I'll test Tuesday I'm literally wishing my weekend away! Let me know the outcome of your test. X

Same here. We’re not making a thing of it because of so many negatives in the past :( and OH is feeling under pressure! It’s actually awful to feel like this every month.

Let me know your outcome too. I agree, Tuesday-which might be too early still! But late is late #optimism.

Morning! Has af arrived or have you tested yet?

Morning! AF is here...I think. She’s lighter than normal but I don’t think there’s any mistaking it. Back to square one!

That's how I was last month my period was so light, this month however af has not shown up so I tested this morning and got a bfp! OH doesn't know I've tested he's always said he wants it to be a surprise so now I have to work out how to surprise him x

Hi. Hoping I can join. 12DPO, has pregnancy like symptoms, ( I think ! ) heavy boobs ( and I'm big boobed anyways so know the difference ) , strange taste in mouth, weird discharge for me etc.
Only problem is I have only had a withdrawal bleed. Not an actual period. Any suggestions. I've taken a test yesterday and said negative :( so wondering am I out the loop? Xx

Hi @delilah7 some people get pregnant straight away but for me it's taken about 4 proper cycles. I've had absolutely no symptoms apart from my normal sore boobs I was sure af was going to turn up but today I've had my bfp. I will say the first month I stopped taking the pill I had all sorts of symptoms thinking I must have been pregnant already but in fact it was just my body getting back to normal.*

Thank you!! I've realised I just had to be patient really and stop symptom spotting because I just ended up driving myself mad and hard as it is I made sure I waited til I was definately late before testing. The one thing I did use this month for the first time was concieve plus fertility lubricant and it's worked for me the first time. X

I had no idea how to do it but I was desperate for him to know so I had someone else to be excited with so it wasn't anything exciting...I literally just left the pregnancy test in the bathroom because he was on an early shift so would be home while I was at work myself. When he found the test he called me while I was at work and said come home we need to celebrate!! I think he's more excited than me at the moment lol it's not really sunk in for me properly yet.
