New to OPK

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice with OPKs. It's my first time trying them this month, I have between a 30-33 day cycle. I tested for the first time two days ago and got low fertility circle. I then forgot to test yesterday as I was crazed in work. I tested tonight and just got my peak fertility reading. Based on ewcm and my cycle length I've been predicting that I ovulate much later in my fertile week which is due to start in 2 days. Is this just an unusual high as I've started and it is adjusting? Or because I've missed a day? Or am I ovulating earlier than I thought? Any advice welcome!

Which ones are you using? Because one goes from blank circle to peak static smiley, the other has flashy then peak.

If it's the one with a flashy then I had just one day of it before it turned to peak. Good luck

It’s the one that has flashy faces too but I didn’t get a flashy before the peak. I did miss a day though!

I think you missed the flashy then, I had one day of it and got my peak cd12!

So I’m guessing the test is really accurate then? Frustrating as my OH is away atm but at least I know it’s happening!

Can someone help? I had a surprisingly early peak on Thursday as posted above. I know I shouldn't test again but did a test today as it's when I expected o to be. I get another peak? Is this an error because I've tested again? So confused!

Sometimes your body can gear up to ovulate, hence the surge being detected, but doesn’t. Perhaps your second peak is indeed your real O. OPKs are great but not always 100% reliable at pinning your exact O. Hope that helps! X
