Early period after miscarriage?

I had some spotting earlier today, browny colour, evident on wiping and have light cramps as I type. I had my 2nd miscarriage on the 1st of this month (a year to the day after my first), a cursory search of google tells me that if periods are irregular after miscarriage they're generally late. Is this the experience of those of you reading whose cycle didn't return to normal straight after miscarriage? According to my periodtracker ap I am 10 days post ovulation so obviously my brain is screaming IMPLANTATION?!?!?!?. Obviously it is too early to test (although that didn't stop me and I get a bfn of course) and I'm trying so hard to not get my hopes up, but the problem is I am 43 and childless and we are so desperate for a bfp/sticky bean. Oh, and I felt nauseous before dinner today but have no other 'symptoms' of what I'm hoping for.

Hi Penguingirl,

From your message am not sure if you have carried out a pregnancy test. I think that should be your first move. Also have you had any medical test at all as this may be due to some underlying problems that may be affecting your fertility. Make sure you have all the necessary checks and test carried out. Insist even when your doctor says it is not necessary. In the UK sometimes you have to push and insist for you to get access to some test. You may also check out

It could be, I had many miscarriages and it was usually a month or longer between miscarriage and next period

Have you looked into agnus castus?
