TTC after Nexplanon

I’m having my implant removed next week so DH and I can start TTC no.1. I had the depo injection for years before, and a year ago my dr advised that I change to the implant to let the depo leave my system. She told me that after the implant, fertility can return immediately, but after some googling I’m not so sure about that!

I’m starting to worry that it could take a year or so just to get things started again!

Does anyone have any tips on how to kick start ovulation after having the implant? Or care to share their experiences with TTC after Nexplanon with me?

Probably not lots of help, but I had my nexplanon removed on Feb 1st this year. Had my first period 28 days later, and then have resumed a normal (for me) 30-32 day cycle. We actively started TTC in March. I used clear blue opk after April AF, and got my static smiley around the time I would expect to be fertile. So, seems everything is functional, just need a bit of luck :) I was worried I wouldn't even get a period after consulting Google(!), but all has been fine. And like I say, back to a normal cycle for me! Best of luck to you :)

I had a nexplanon (or whatever it was before that) when I was 16 in 2011, had it removed a week before my wedding in June 2014 and got a positive test result in early August 2014 - didn’t have a period in between having it removed and falling pregnant! DD was born April 2015.
I had another nexplanon put in early June 2015, suffered lots of weird bleeding, had it removed end of January 2016, and got a positive test result end of February 2016. DS was born October 2016!
Can be very fast!!

Had Nexplanon for two years and had it out April last year due to issues and didn't get a normalperiod (bled constantly on implant) until June this year. Fell pregnant in november and due august.

Totally depends on your body so could be quick or could take awhile.

I had my Nexplanon removed September and got a positive ovulation test less than 2 weeks later. Cycles have been regular since and just started properly ttc this month. Good luck! X

Well that all seems fairly positive - maybe I’ll get my period back sooner than I was expecting then!
