Hi,
This is my first time posting on here so I'm really hoping someone can help.
My last period was 11th Jan 2018, I have PCOS so not having a period for 4 months is very normal for me.
I took a pregnancy test around the 10th may 2018 which came back negative.
I then had a small bleed on the 17th may 2018, it was very light pink and only happened once when I wiped myself after going to the toilet.
I then took another pregnancy test on 20th may 2018 which was a faint positive.
I did a test on the 21st may and the 22nd which were stronger positives.
I have been having shooting pains on my right side so went to the hospital today for an emergency scan (I have no idea how far along I am) I had an internal scan but thete was nothing on the screen at all, no sac, no yolk, no baby. The hospital did 2 pregnancy tests which both cam back positive.
They took my blood and are going to call me tomorrow with the results and what to do next.. Has anyone had this happen to them and had a healthy pregnancy?
She told me there were 3 possible explanations.. 1. The pregnancy is too early to be seen.. 2. I'm going to have and miscarriage and 3. An ectopic pregnancy. She did check outside my womb to see if she could see a pregnancy but she couldn't.
Sorry for the long post, I'm just really worried at the thought of having an ectopic pregnancy. I am due to fly abroad on the 30th May and she has said that if she hasn't located the pregnancy before then, I definitely should not fly.
Thank you for any advice :)

It's much to early to see anything in a scan so please don't worry!

BuntyII · 22/05/2018 19:26

Sorry - basing that on implantation happening when you had your bleed, which sounds incredibly likely

Give it more time. I got my bfp on Saturday just and know it would be far too early for anything to be seen. Your embryo is making himself (or herself) nice and comfy in your uterine lining so will be hidden from view.

My obgyn had a huge struggle locating anything when I was 4+6 and that's further than you would be now, he kept asking had I had a positive test and finally found a sac and yolk. I think you are too early and they will see something at the next scan xx fx for you xx

Thank you all so much for your comments :)
Any idea how far gone I could be based on the bled?
I'm so rubbish with things like this :/

I'm going to say 4-5 weeks, assuming an implantation bleed at 9-14 DPO.

I hope you get answers soon. Flowers

BuntyII · 23/05/2018 09:16

Yes probably around 4 weeks.

Stephisaur · 23/05/2018 12:21

It sounds like you're around 4 weeks. They won't typically see anything on a scan until around 6 weeks I think?

Fx for you :)
