How long after the depo injection did it take...

Hi. Quick one. Myself and DP had been trying for 1 year. Had all the checks, all fine. We had a bit of a blip with the stress and other things so I opted to have the depo. Runs out in 3 weeks.

Everything is back on track, less stressed and we both want to keep trying... how long after did it take people to catch after depos ran out?? Thank you all 😊

Around 2 years.

I had 1 injection of Depot, took 12 months to get any periods back at all. Had 5 months of really heavy periods that were all over the place off it and just had an ectopic pregnancy that has nothing to do with it but my periods were all over the place so I didn't know I was pregnant

7.5 months after the injection ran out in mid-Feb, though 3 of those were spent on the pill.

That was after a history of 7 years on depo, one year on pill, 5 years on depo.

I was on the depo for years. After the last one ran out, I had a bleed 2 weeks later and after that periods started like clockwork. I didn't TTC until a year later but fell pregnant first month of trying when I did. I think I would have fallen pregnant within the first couple of months as periods were so regular had I tried then.

Didn’t try immediately after coming off it but it took nearly a year and a spell on the combined pill to get a regular cycle back. Surprised they reccomended it to you at all if you’re going to start trying again soon.

I've been onto twice for 18+ months both times.

Fell pregnant with ds1 within 2 months of coming off it, went back on it 6 weeks after his birth. Came off to 2 years later and conceived DC2 following month. Due next month.

2 years. Period came back about 10 months after regularly.

2 years for me. Period didn’t return for 8 months and wasn’t regular until a year after depo. Good luck!

ive been off depot for 13 months and still no period

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone. My depo runs out in a week so i'll keep it posted!
