Shadow on early response

I am 10 dpo for the first time i have had a shadow whete the positive line should appear. The line that always appears was very thin.. any ideas why ?

The lines are quite thin on the FRERs.

I'm sorry but I don't see a second line :(

If you hold FRERs up to the light like that it often appears like there should be a line because of the structure of the casing- they have plastic “stripes” behind the test window (presumably for strength?!). I’ve been fooled by doing that before with them!

Sorry but I can’t see a line, although it’s still early days even for a FRER!

If I remember rightly I'm sure there are plastic lines on the back of the tests which could be causing the shadow with the light behind it.

I'm not keen on frers because the line is painfully thin. Try another brand? I used Poundland ones and had quite obvious results. Good luckx

If you look at the back of a test, there's a plastic strip that can cause a shadow if you hold it to the light. Also sometimes a colourless line will appear as the urine moves across the test - it can often look like little greyish grains if you hold it up to the light. It disappears after a minute or two.

Definitely try again tomorrow though!

Thanks ladies i am not sure how long mt cycles are as will only be my 2nd period after coming off the pill so will test again on Monday so then will be either a 28 day cycle or my 30 day cycle x
