Why is my temperature doing this?

Calling out for all the basal temp experts out there.

I’ve started doing my temperature 2 weeks ago (on 5dpo, because I only learned about Basal temp charting a little too late).

So the drop in temperature just before my period all makes sense because it shows the drop on progesterone etc etc. Now I’m on my last day of my AF and for some reason the temperature has risen 2 days in a row as shown in the chart. Is this weird? Why is it doing this, I mean if I’m not on my AF I would have thought that I’ve ovulated because i thought tempt rising is associted with ovulation has taken place? Im not having a fever or anything, doing absolutely fine.

I’m just very confused because I want to use this as a way to track whether my ovulation has happened or not and if it’s acting all weird then there’s no way I can tell, comes ovulation time that is.

When you temp you have to look at the whole picture, not individual temperatures. Temperatures can fluctuate day to day - ovulation is marked by three days
of a sustained temperature rise above the coverline, not just a day or two of slightly high temperatures. You have to look at the chart as a whole.

I'm not familiar with that app, but Fertility Friend is the gold standard for temping and charting and offers a lot of feedback on your temp fluctuations, etc.

Also because you started temping post-only you don't have an established coverline so it's not really possible to tell anything yet.

I recently read that temping during your period doesn't give much insight as it can be a bit erratic. I do it anyway to keep in the rhythm of temping but I don't pay much attention to it.

The two days your temperature has risen are weekend days. Do you get up/take your temperature at the same time on those days?

Here is this months chart so far. As you can see, there was a couple of rises during AF. I would read into two in a row too much.
