Testing tomorrow, anyone else?

Tomorrow is 6 days before period is due, so am going to use FRER early testing poas test. Going on holidays at the start of next week. Had been banking on being a few months pg, so would use maternity summer clothes for holiday (good quality, newish). However, with not being pg am left with "old summer clothes" pre-children, so v dated and worn etc. However, this week, I have gone out and bought new wardrobe of summer clothes, in the hope I get full wear out of them. If I test tomorrow and it's positive (or evening positive over the weekend, I could take out new clothes from case (return and get full refund) and just take mat clothes on hol, using money from returned clothes for something else!

Hello. I'm not far away from testing but trying to hold out. Are you 6 days from your period or from your missed period?

mammyoftwo · 16/05/2018 11:31

Tomorrow I will be six days away from a missed period.

Ooh exciting, in which case there's a chance a FRER would work, in fact tomorrow I would be 6 days away from my missed period so I could test too but I'm hoping to hold out until Saturday. Do you have a FRER to use?

mammyoftwo · 16/05/2018 14:33

I thought the early (not rapid) FRER was for this purpose, testing 6 days before missed period?
I bought ones yesterday. I don't want to take and start wearing new clothes on hols, only to find I could've not worn them and returned them. I think if I know I'm not pg then I'll swap them for something else. It will be a bummer if I'm not pg and end up having full 7 days of period on holidays (ten day holiday). Would help for packing if I knew I didn't need to use space for tampons, pads etc

Yes that's absolutely what they are for! I like your thinking, love a bit of savvy thinking. Will keep absolutely everything crossed for you, I hope you get the result that you want. Will you keep me updated?

mammyoftwo · 16/05/2018 15:30

Will do!

Good luck!
My periods have been a little irregular, so I don't actually know which day is best to test. If it's a 28 day cycle then I'm due Monday, but my last one was 32 days Blush
Took a test a few days ago and got BFN, but I'm hoping I was just too early! X

mammyoftwo · 17/05/2018 01:37

just checked my dates, I can test on Sat

I'm testing on Saturday too, which will be 4 days before my missed period. I'm going to a hen party so would like a chance at knowing whether we have been successful this month or not.

Pudding01 · 17/05/2018 07:22

Might join the Saturday testing Grin I'll either be 2 days before AF or up to 6 if it's an irregular cycle again x

Muffin7 · 17/05/2018 07:56

I was silly and used an internet cheapie to test yesterday at only 8dpo, BFN

Pudding01 · 17/05/2018 08:06

Same haha Just can't help ourselves, can we! Longest few days ever Hmm

mammyoftwo · 17/05/2018 23:34

Tempted to do one in am, going to try and be good and wait til Sat!

I was so tempted to test this morning, managed to hold out though!

Pudding01 · 18/05/2018 06:55

I did another cheapie. BFN, even inverted. Don't know why I did it to myself Blush I have my FRER ready for the weekend

Muffin7 · 18/05/2018 07:18

@Puddding01 How sensitive are the internet cheapies? I didn't get a positive on them with my ds and dd until af was actually late.

Pudding01 · 18/05/2018 08:07

They're advertised as early detection, but at £3 for 15, I'm not sure how sensitive they actually are Confused Serves me right for doing it so early lol Will use FRER tomorrow and if that's negative I'll do it every 2-3 days until af arrives (if she arrives!) x

Muffin7 · 18/05/2018 17:17

If af comes this month I might get some of them, would be able to satisfy by urge to poas without spending a fortune. Every inch of me wants to test today but waiting until tomorrow morning.

mammyoftwo · 18/05/2018 17:27

Managed to hold off too!! FRER tomorrow for me!

Pudding01 · 18/05/2018 17:35

Are we all FRER testing tomorrow morning? 😆 I'm still cramping, so think I'm ready to see a BFN x

Muffin7 · 18/05/2018 18:08

Haha sounds like it. AF is due Tuesday for me, no symptoms really yet although I've been shattered this week (I have two children under 3 though so that may just be normal)!

mammyoftwo · 18/05/2018 18:55

I feel your --pain- exhaustion muffin!!

I've felt quite a bit of "nipping" and cramping 4,5,6 days PO, ?implantation. Time will tell!

I will be trying again tomorrow morning...what are the best tests to use? I think I had a faint blue line this morning...but I went and got a first response pink one today and a digital clear blue Confused

I think I am due my period on the 25th so I am v v early to be testing...my period was over a week late last month, could this have been a chemical pregnancy?

Am I crazy to be testing like this?? Help!!!

mammyoftwo · 18/05/2018 20:14

If due 25th i think u can test with FRER early (not rapid) ie 6 days before period due. You can use clearblue 4 days before period due (Mon 21st).

mammyoftwo · 18/05/2018 20:19
