Hi i am very new to the BBT i have only be recording it since Friday. I had my rise when i ovulated on Saturday it went from 35.95 on the Friday to 36.10 on the Saturday which is when it said i ovulated and it also showed on the CB i reached my peak on the Friday through to Saturday? and then sunday it dropped to 35.80 i was showing as a O on the CB. Monday it raised quite alot to 36.65 and today slightly dropped to 36.15 is this normal ? i am 3 DPO ?

I believe BBT needs to rise by at least 0.2 and stay above your cover line for at least 3 days for you to have ovulated. So seems like you ovulated on Sunday.

In my experience sometimes my body can gear up for ovulation, show all the signs, but then have a false start.

Having only been temping since Friday doesn't give you much data to go by, its a good idea to start temping a bit sooner than when you think you shall Ov so you are able to see a pattern easier.

But I do agree with PP, sounds like from info you have given you may have Ovd on Sunday and that you had an ovulation dip? And it is common to dip again slightly (still above coverline) a few DPO. But It really is hard to tell if you only have 5 days worth of temps.

Thanks for the help it will be a shame if i did ovulate Sunday as I only did the deed Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday so very unlikely it will be enough to catch. It's so confusing all this temperature taking. I only got my thermometer on Thursday so started as soon as I could. On my CB monitor i had 4 days of flashing so high on Monday to Thursday and then Friday I had my high which shows on the CB for 2 days. I also tested on Sunday and monday and had the big O. This is my first month ttc so still learning

You "only" DTD every other day during the fertile week? That is certainly more than enough OP! Only takes one time!

They recommend you do it every other day so sperm has a chance to replenish during the other days.

FX you will get lucky on your 1st cycle so you don't have to worry about temping Smile

Twittlebee thanks for that. Every other day is good for me who would have thought sex would be so hard lol. It's all very confusing lol I'm sure i will get my head around it all one day. My fertility chart is showing me as 3dpo but not sure how I guess I will just have to wait and see maybe a little bit longer now lol

It's very normal to have quite a sudden drop in temp on the day you ovulate, then back up again til the end of the cycle. Temp drops around the day your period starts - if it stays up around then or increases, likely to be pregnant. Good luck!

Test everyday so you get to see the patterns. Fertility Friend app is great.

Pannacott I have been using fertility friend its a great little app. Hoping I will see a good result after a little while of using it :)

I have been checking my bbt recently to help me identify my fertile windows as my periods are irregular. I have also been using ovulation tests. My recent one on Sunday showed my LH levels had peaked and was due to ovulate Monday. My temp was 36.41 on Sunday and 36.42 on Monday. However, the past 2 days my temperature has been dropping instead of rising 😩. I’m worried does that mean I’m not ovulating? Or is that somewhat normal. My temp is fluctuating massively 😩😩
