Bfp at 11dpo big lighter at 13dpo. So scared.

Hello all.
After a miscarriage at 9wks in December and a cp in February, I really thought this was our month. I got a faint bfp on 11dpo (1 day before af due), I then got a slightly stronger bfp on 12dpo, but this morning at 13dpo the test was lighter again!! All tests taken with Fmu. Pic shows 11dpo at top and 13dpo on bottom.
I’m so so scared this is going to be another cp. It’s heartbreaking, I just don’t think I can handle another loss. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Xx

Some people will tell you a line is a line but I do believe that this early on in a pregnancy, the darkness of the line does matter.
However, don’t look too much into it from one test slightly lighter.
Sometimes the dyes in these tests are slightly more concentrated then another one.
I had the same problem where I did one test which was really faint. 2 days later much darker and then 2 days after that no darker then the one before. I really panicked but over half hour as it dried is got a tiny bit darker (not a lot) and I had a blood test which confirmed my HCG was perfect and doubling nicely.
Unless you do another test tomorrow maybe and that is even lighter, try not to worry yourself too much x x

Did you drink more or get up in the night for a wee at all? To me there's only a very slight difference so I wouldn't panic too much but I can see why it's stressing you due to your previous losses. It's hard, I'm crossing my fingers for you @starfish

I only looked at your pic once to make sure I don’t get lines eye but to me the bottom line is definitely slightly stronger than the top one!

Thanks ladies. I really hope you’re right. I agree magicalC, the line thickness and colour certainly indicated problems during my last chemical. I don’t think I went to the toilet in the night but I did drink a glass of water throughout the night and this was taken a couple of hours earlier than the previous day test. I will yest again tomorrow, it’s just so horrible. I really thought this month was our month. Will try not to lose hope. Thanks for responding xxx

Hi mumof3, yes today’s line was stronger than the first line (taken on Friday) but it was definitely weaker than yesterday’s. Xx

Ahh I see what you mean. I just skipped the middle one a looked too and bottom. I can’t advise you but I did several internet cheapie ones and I got so fed up with lines not being consistently dark that I just went and got a proper one and it showed up a definite line and that’s when I stopped. You seem to have very strong lines anyway! I know it’s easier said than done but try and not stress about it too much X

That’s brilliant. So pleased to hear that. Now try and relax a little (easier said than done) and good luck. I know how you feel. I’ve had a loss too and it really rocks the boat for any future pregnancies. I’ve been the same with this one x

The control line on the 13dpo looks lighter than the control line at 12dpo, so that implies that test just doesn't have as much dye in it. They do vary, you could have caught an hcg surge at 12dpo too as the levels do vary a bit.

Thank you so much for your support and comforting words. I’m slowly starting to feel a bit more reassured and cautiously optimistic. I’m going to step away from the tests for a few days and then test again in 5-7 days and hopefully by then there will be no question of the lines. You are so right MagicalCreatures, It’s so sad that after my recent loses that the predominant emotion I’m feeling right now is fear but Im glad it’s not just me, and I know I’ve gotta try and stay positive. Hi @Starfish23. Congratulations!!
I suffered 2 ectopic pregnancies before having my DD last year, so I feel your pain on needing the reassurance that your pregnancy is progressing nicely. I used the digital ones until my early scan, as you can actually see the numbers go up each week.
Might be a bit easier for you as dye tests can vary?

Hi Pudding01 (love the name), thank you, I’m sorry for your losses too, however it does make me feel better to know I’m not the only one who needs a little reassurance. I probably should use the digital tests, but I gotta be honest, I’m too scared to! With my chemical I never got above 1-2 weeks and I’m so scared that’s what the test will show this time round. I think I will hold my nerve a little longer and try a digital test at the weekend. Thanks ladies xxx
