Hey everyone I’m new to this site so I’m not to sure if I have posted on the correct page so sorry if not!
So my last period began on 03/05 and ended around the 08/05 so only a few days ago, my cycles the last few months have varied between 26-28 days not to sure why as I have always been like clock work every 28 days.
Anyway I had intercourse on the 9th I’m not using any contecetion. I know that you can get pregnant when not using conception but I’m just wondering is it possible to get pregnant so soon after your period? I know soerm can live up to 5 days but due to my cycle length varying I’m really not sure on when I would be ovulation?
Thanks in advance x

If your cycles are around 26-28 days then no. Sex a day after your period wouldn’t result in conception. You are most likely to ovulate around cd12-14. Your cycle is still considered regular as it only varies by 2 or so days and your luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) is always 14 days so the time between your period and ovulation will be 12-14 days. To have any chance at conceiving, you need to be having sex starting from around cd9 onwards, sperm can live up to 5 days but it’s not a given. And you can only get pregnant when not using conception when you’re ovulating and not before or after, unlike high school would have us believe lol

If you had sex on May 9th and you usually ov on Cd13or 14 (in the middle of your cycle which is most normal) then you're due to ov on May 16th or 17th. I don't think sperm can live that long so I think you'll be fine but maybe consider the morning after pill to be sure if you don't want to conceive.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me, we’re not actively trying but wouldn’t mind if it was to happen...I have just calculated my last 3 cycle lengths and they have all be 25 days long does this make a difference to when I will ovulate? X
