OPK question

Hi
Husband and I have been TTC#2 for 15 months now with no success. I’m worried that I’m not ovulating so I’ve started to use OPKs. After using one this morning, there is a very faint line, which I know is negative.
My question is, is it a good sign that there is a faint line? Does this mean I have ovulated/ovulation is coming?
Thanks for any help

Hi OP. Unfortunately the second faint line doesn't really mean much on an opk. We have varying amounts of LH in our system regardless of if we are ovulating or not. Keep testing and hopefully you'll get your positive soon :)

It's also possible though to have an LH surge and get a positive opk and still not ovulate, so you can't rely on this for confirmation of ovulation. Tracking your basal body temperature throughout your cycle can help confirm O.

Thank you for your reply.
I will keep testing. I’m also tracking my BBT for the first time this cycle so hopefully I’ll get the result I’m after!

That's great!! Hopefully you'll get some answers :) I've read about many ladies who didn't fall pregnant because they were focusing on the wrong time of the month and totally missing O day

I've used OPKs again this cycle and have just started temping, think my temping is all over the place. Use your OPKs a couple of times a day to hopefully spot a surge. There should then be an increase in your BBT a couple of days post surge I think.

I’ve just ordered a pack of 30 OPKs so that should keep me going for a while! I’m on CD20, my cycles are usually around 32-37 days and so far no obvious surge on BBT. So I’ll keep track and hopefully will be any day now.
I’m going to give it another few cycles of trying and tracking before I call it a day I think.

It could sign because I didn't even get a faint line until I had been off the depo 10 months and then I ovulated (well I think I did) cycle after that then again I always have at least faint line now
