Here I sit with my full and painful breasts and sore nipples, my cramps, my fatigue and my nausea, hoping that this will be the month for me and my gorgeous man!
But alas, symptoms of pregnancy and PMS are so painfully similar I just never know!

I am a huge symptom spotter I must admit, every month I sit here and hope and pray but it just hasn't happened yet :(

The fact we are TTC is kept quiet as I don't like to drag my friends into my obsessive ways..because I have done that before and I think they got a little bored of my symptom spotting!
So any of you lovely ladies out there in the same frustrating boat and want to vent? I am here and ready!

Yes congratulations @Flatwhite32! Sprinkle some of that baby dust our way!

I'm absolutely ravenous today, I hate eating in the morning so always go to yogurts or fruit as it's a little easier to get down but I've just demolished some toast and marmite!
Love me some marmite!

@MissG2MrsB Really hope you're feeling reassured!
I live in a very small town where people started getting pregnant at 16! So being 26 I've always felt a little ancient hahahah
Ridiculous I know!
I have been on a super health kick since ttc, getting all that goodness into me and my little eggs! But as I say, couldn't resist that marmite this morning!

I'm off to Sainsbury's today to do some shopping and have a natter in the cafe with my Mum...I'm thinking a pregnancy test might make its way into my basket! 12dpo...maybe a little too early still so we shall see if I resist! Not sure I fancy the disappointment as all these comments have put me in a wonderful positive mood this morning!

@Lillyleaf - that’s good to know Smile I’m somewhere between you and tattyjade: most people I know had their first in their late twenties and are on to their 2nd in their thirties so I probably shouldn’t be worrying so much.

@tattyjade - me too! Smile It’s my period DD and I can feel it’s on its way but after speaking to all you lovely ladies, I’m feeling good. The sun is shining too, which helps! I have to say, this is the first month I’ve not taken an early pregnancy test and knowing that it would have been negative, I feel a bit better at not wasting another, however that’s just me! Let us know how you get on @tattyjade and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you if you do decide to take a test.

tattyjade · 12/05/2018 13:44

Well I caved! I bought a test and was thinking "you know..just in case" and the box said can test up to 4 days before your period is due! And I was like...well mines due in three..so I'm gonna do it!
And low and behold it's a negative!

I know what I'm gonna do now..I'll be convincing myself it's still a little early and I'll go and google it all, but I need to keep my head up and keep realistic..but what are the chances of that happening haha Grin

@tattyjade I know the feeling. In fact I started testing since 5dpo, daily. Imagine the disappointment everyday for the past 1 week. AF is either due today or tmr. I just want to crawl in a ball.

@MissG2MrsB I'm as impatient as you are, or even worse. I'm 30, this is my first cycle of TTC again from the MC last summer, I took a long break due to the Caribbean trip and avoid zika and all that. Almost felt like I shouldn't have gone anywhere and should have TTC straight away then, I took for granted thinking that we would conceive pretty quickly, clearly was wrong. This whole O tracking, 2ww and testing are driving crazy. And I'm sorry I know there are a lot of people have been trying for way way way longer. But I'm just really weak at this and I think I was never able get over the loss.

MissG2MrsB · 13/05/2018 16:10

@tattyjade - we’ve all been there! I’m so sorry it was another negative. It could just be too early, only time will tell.

@smoothieyummy - I can only imagine Sad I know what you mean by starting right away again but I think most people would need some time to grieve. I don’t think I’d be able to get straight back to TTC. I really do hope you’ll both be able to share positive stories to us soon.

AF still hasn’t appeared for me today, after last month I told myself I wouldn’t do another test but we’re going out for a family meal tonight and I wanted to know if I could enjoy a glass of wine. Worked out that I’m now 35 days into my cycle, my longest one before was 34 days. Took a test and, lo’ and behold, it’s negative again. Anybody ever feel like their body is mocking them?! Confused I’m not even that bothered about not conceiving this cycle now, I just want the bloomin’ thing to end so I can start afresh next cycle. Never thought I’d be willing a period but this long wait is really annoying me now and I’m just ready to move on!

Smoothieyummy · 13/05/2018 16:20

@MissG2MrsB I’m on the same boat, period was due yesterday however no sign of it yet, tested like a maniac and still negative. I had some work drinks last week but resisted and just got orange juice I didn’t want to take any chance that I might be pregnant and it just takes time to show in the test. However I’m having a big department drink next Wednesday and if I’m still negative ( 4 days after missed period) I would probably drink. I’ll see how I feel.
Have you got any symptoms either pms or pregnancy related? I have sore boobs and super bloating/gassy sorry tmi. But these are similar to my period so probably just a very late cycle.

MissG2MrsB · 13/05/2018 17:08

@smoothieyummy
Only the usual dull, internal ache that I’d normally get anyway. It’s went on due longer though. Usually it appears on the day I’m due and AF tags right beside it. This has been since Friday night though (when I should have started). I’m glad it’s not just me then! Honestly, you should have seen how dark the ‘negative’ line was on the test, I showed my hubby and compared it to the faint line in the picture on the box and even he had to laugh. I’m actually at that hysterical point now where it’s almost comical. The test may as have well have screamed ‘DO YOU EVEN HAVE OVARIES?’

Smoothieyummy · 13/05/2018 17:23

@MissG2MrsB aw hun if it makes you feel any better, the negative line is actually not negative if that makes sense. It’s basically a check line to make sure that there’s sufficient urine for the test to perform. It being dark or really dark doesn’t mean it more or less negative. If the check line doesn’t show up it means the test is invalid and you have to do it again. The pregnant line however will show up if the test can detects hcg presence in your urine, hcg associated with pregnancy.

tattyjade · 13/05/2018 20:29

@MissG2MrsB I feel the same way now!
Everything is wrong with my body right now so I actually just can't wait until my period comes and I'm over and done with it!
Can barely hold my arms by my side with this boob pain and I'm nauseas and actually (be warned this is gross) threw up in the bath yesterday while I was still in it!
Just wanna crawl into a ball and eat pizza all day! Watching trashy TV and feeling sorry for myself tonight.
What a fun rollercoaster TTC is! Hmm

Sorry about the negative test, hopefully there's a bad batch going doing and they're all wrong!

OP posts:
LillyLeaf · 13/05/2018 20:45

Sorry about the negitives and very annoying late AF. I'm 10 dpo (10/11 luteal phase) so expecting AF tomorrow or Tuesday. I had terrible cramps yesterday but nothing today. Temp hasn't gone down yet and breasts still hurts.

MissG2MrsB · 13/05/2018 21:34

Thanks ladies, @smoothieyummy that does make me feel better actually Smile @tattyjade oh no that sounds so uncomfortable, I really hope you start to feel better soon! You’ll need to keep us posted on how you get on over the next couple of days @LillyLeaf... here’s hoping this is your month!

My hubby noted that I wasn’t as down as I have been in the past with previous tests and I told him about this forum and how reassuring it is that other couples are going through similar experiences... I think he wants to try and find me a forum for all the other things I worry/complain to him about! Smile

tattyjade · 13/05/2018 22:01

I'm so happy I came here to talk! All these comments from everyone have made me feel so much more positive!
So nice to hear that I'm not the only one who struggles so makes me feel less mad!
And it's nice to have all these comments of support and knowing we're all in the same boat!
I can talk to my partner about anything but sometimes it's just nice to talk to women as we all know how exhausting it is!

Hopefully everyone will get the positives they deserve!

Couldn’t agree more @tattyjade Flowers

LillyLeaf · 14/05/2018 07:25

Big temp drop this morning so looks like AF will arrive today. Why is this so hard, just one sperm has to find one egg. Onto cycle 13!

Smoothieyummy · 14/05/2018 08:23

@LillyLeaf yup, I’m right with you there. I was secretly being hopeful that my temp has been consistently high in the 36.80-36.90 range. This morning it comes down to 36.60s. AF is definitely coming very soon.

The past few weeks my brain was crazily studying all the symptoms and events for the last one year since my MC etc I think at least one thing I’ve got from this cycle is I have learnt a lot, first is temp monitoring, second I think have figured out my luteal phase length and lastly I can 100% explain my delayed ovulation this time is attributed to the longhaul flight in mid April. Reminded me that long haul flight always messes my cycle up.
On to the next month!

MissG2MrsB · 14/05/2018 10:07

I’m definitely going to start tracking my temperature. Do you girls just do it orally as soon as you wake up in the morning?

LillyLeaf · 14/05/2018 11:21

Temping is really good to pinpoint ovulation, it's nice to be able to see it. I take my temp orally every morning same time. I generally start cd 8 and sometimes I stop about 5dpo just because you can over think every rise and dip and I think is doesn't help with the 2ww stress.

tattyjade · 15/05/2018 08:39

Oh ladies I had such a horrible dream last night! I've started spotting with means Aunt Flo is on her way now so I'm feeling better pain wise, but I had a dream last night that I took a test and got a faint line and did another later on and got a strong positive! I was so proud of them and showed my Mum and she cried and took loads of pictures of them..such a tease SadWoke up miserable!
Always next time ay!

OP posts:
LillyLeaf · 15/05/2018 08:58

Oh @tattyjade that's horrible, why does the mind and body put us through this, so cruel. Mine is being pretty annoying too. I've had 2 days of low temps and AF hasn't started yet, I'm sure it will today but in the meantime I'm googling 'temp drop then BFP' and I obviously find some random forum from 10 years ago where that happened to someone. I add terrible headaches yesterday and 2 restless nights so I'm feeling crappy today. I had a bit of a cry and a hug with DP yesterday which I never do, I normally try to put on a brave face.

tattyjade · 15/05/2018 11:31

@LillyLeaf
I can't tell you how many hours I spent googling last night as I was only spotting!
That's definitely what bought such a awful dream on
It felt good while I was dreaming it and I just have to remember that will be my reality one day and I will enjoy every second of it Grin
Feel like a fool now she's here but it's just too easy isn't it! At least now I can move on and get ready for next month when I do it all again!

But you know what they say! You aren't out til she's here!

OP posts:
tattyjade · 15/05/2018 11:33

And good for you for having a little cry! I plan to do the same later when I see my partner!

OP posts:
LillyLeaf · 15/05/2018 18:21

AF arrived, on to the next one. At least I can relax for a week or so before it all begins again.

tattyjade · 31/05/2018 15:12

Back in the TWW!
Must be that time for you ladies aswell?
Anyone still here? Grin
