what made you test? Did you just still feel pregnant or did you have symptoms?

I've had a bit of an odd period this month. Apologies for the oncoming TMI. I started with some brown discharge on cd25 (my cycles are normally 29-30 days) and then some pink on and off for 2 days then a day of nothing. I took a hpt on this day as I thought it could have been implantation but it was negative.
I properly started my period on CD28 which is a little early. I had 2 days of fairly heavy bleeding and since then its been fairly light and I am now on day 5 of my period and its a very dark brown. I feel really nauseous all the time, appetite is down and I've had a couple of dizzy spells.
Would I be crazy to test again or is this just a bit of an odd month and my currently blocked nose and sinus are the cause of my symptoms and I'm just over analysing things?

I felt pregnant, then dreamed I was pregnant so just to satisfy my doubt I tested and it was positive. Still don't know if it's healthy as the bleed before the BFP was heavy like a period so I'm going for a scan on Friday to see if there's anything there. My symptoms/bleeds were/are exactly like yours. Fingers crossed for us both! X

I also had headaches which I never get unless I'm pregnant!

thanks for the reply. Ok so maybe worth me doing a test on the off chance. I'll pick one up this afternoon if I can. I will keep my fingers firmly crossed for you - let me know how you get on on Friday Flowers

I had stopped bleeding but still felt like I had mild period cramps and bloating. I also kept having really vivid dreams about taking positive pregnancy tests and since my period was so much lighter than normal I thought I'd check on the off-chance, totally expecting a negative. Didn't really have any other obvious symptoms.

I’ve taken a test and it’s negative which I expected. I’m putting it down to a funny off month! We aren’t ttc but we wouldn’t be unhappy with a pregnancy. If I still feel the same I may retest in a few days. Thanks for the replies and flappergirl let me know how Friday goes!

Yes, I felt pregnant. With DS I'd had implantation bleeding, which I initially thought this was but it lasted nearly 3 days but I just knew I was pregnant. Got some very strong positives!

Unfortunately it ended in miscarriage but I don't think it was related.

I'll keep you posted! I had a bleed with my first pregnancy which went fine but not as much as I have been this time. I really don't think you can never be sure. Is that test you have there a 'clear & simple'? I've found them less reliable. My personal favourites are Home Bargains -two sticks in a box for a mere 99p and they seem to pick up the faintest of faint lines.

*ever not never.

It’s boots own, not sure what it’s called. Still feeling a big funny. I suppose time will tell!

Flappergirl - how did you get on today?

Urgh. So I went for a scan and it showed nothing at all, they said that could be as it was so early so they took my bloods and will take them again on Sunday to see what my HCG levels are doing which will tell me if I'm pregnant, if I've miscarried or if it's ectopic. So none the wiser yet really!

Buddyelf · 12/05/2018 10:00

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that all goes well. I took another test yesterday evening and I thought I could see a shadow possibly the start of a line but I think it’s just my eyes playing tricks. Waiting round is horrible isn’t it?!

Thanks. I'm trying to be pragmatic about it but it's so hard! I hope you have a squinter! It's so easy to imagine lines though and you end up not trusting your own judgement! Everything crossed for us both x
