Had my Mirena Coil removed... How long

Had my mirena coil removed this morning. DR told me it would be about 4-6 weeks for normal periods to resume. He also said if I had had intercourse in the past few days there was a possibility I could get pregnant. How soon would I know if I was?

wait 19 days after any unprotected sex to test.

i had my coil out 11 weeks ago and it took at least 6 weeks to get back to normal.

My 1st period after having mine removed was rather pathetic so I was sort of glad I didn't get pg straight away cos I don't think my uterus was a very healthy environment at that stage.

I had a period about a week later. I never had another as I immediately conceived.

Hi,

I had mine removed beginnning of feb and had my 1st period last month. I have already got 2 children and am now trying for another. Just wanted to have a few periods first as had the coil in for 2yrs and didn't have one. Good luck.

I had mine removed in August, had one teeny little bleed two weeks later, one proper period - and then got my BFP in early November. Currently 31+5 and struggling to put my own shoes on.

So it needn't take long at all, tho nurse told me it is possible to conceive straight away, but quite unlikely as chances are you're not ovulating as normal when Mirena's in.

Hi,

I had my mirina coil removed 28th march this year, Was told it could take up to a year to regain my af! Had the slightest bleed (more like red discharge, sorry if tmi) and that was it. 10 weeks later I got the BFP (well it was yesterday but still 10 weeks lol)

I've had a one off bleed, lasting about an hour lol but nothing since, had it removed 3 weeks ago - been using condoms for the time being - when can I start on my pill?

im not sure, we were using condoms too....oops lol I pressume your not looking to concieve then?? I should think you can start them straight away but it would be best to either ask doc ring nhs direct or even just google it!!
