Hi lovelies,

Hoping someone may be able to offer some advice/experience before I make a fool of myself going to my gp 😂

I have had very regular periods all my life, roughly every 26-28 days, and always bled for 4 days with slight spotting towards the end of the 4th day/beginning of the 5th day.
This month however, my period showed up 1 day later than predicted (5th may, when Flo said due on 4th) with some typical pms cramps and backache. However the actual period itself (sorry if this is TMI) was totally odd. The first day mostly brown with a slight bit of pinky/red. I used one tampon that day (which I needed to change then a pad that night which had next to nothing on it in the morning). Then yesterday no proper bleeding at all, just the odd pink/brown spotting when I wiped (no need for a tampon at all). Then today - absolutely nothing.

Even though hubby and I are TTC, I'm definitely not pregnant as I've done a frer and a clear blue digital - both were bfns.

I'm not taking any medication at all and came of the pill almost a year ago (periods returned to normal within 1 cycle). So I have absolutely no idea what is going on with my body 😕

Has anyone else had anything like this before? Or is it still worth me going to see the GP as it's unusual for me?

Any help gratefully received Flowers

It could have been an implantation bleed, and if it was, you wouldn’t get a positive pregnancy test for a few days yet, so I would test again in 48 hours x

My periods have always been light and I have that sort of bleed quite regularly, including the cycle before I conceived my eldest son. I always just thought I was lucky, though it would be sensible to rule out implantation bleeding. (I had that too, with one of my kids; it was in my case just half a day long).

I've had exactly the same thing as you this month. It was completely out of the ordinary for me as my periods are the same every month. I've taken 3 tests in the last week and they've all come back negative so I'm just putting it down as an odd period and waiting for my ovulation day to come round again. Fingers crossed for this month for both of us.
