how do I tell the difference between CM and sperm ("falling out" during the day, after having sex in the morning)?

Yup, embarrassing question time!!!!!!
So today I had what I would have consided thick eggwhite consistency of "stuff" on my pants. It is only day 9 of my menstrual cycal (so I genuinely don't think I'm ovulating), however, I thought if sperms "falls out" during the day, after having unprotected sex (ttc) that it would just be clear and wet ie not stringy or dull in colour.

Smell it and see if it smells like sperm. I think old sperm is often pretty thick and gloopy.

EWCM is repeatedly stretchy. Sperm will stretch, but only like one or two times before it just gets tacky.

Sperm should also absorb into your vagina walls after a few hours, so I used to leave checking until later in the day when we’d had sex that morning.

Hope this helps :)

Also check cm in the afternoon. Cos the sperm will have all gone by then. I used to keep my feet up for an hour then go "push it" all out. Then by morning it's pretty much gone. Then check cm in afternoon. 😉
