Hi, please be gentle. I’m a long time lerker but never posted (actually I did join the may board) or started a new thread.
Today I’ve had a warning on my Femometer app saying to see a Dr immediately as my lutal phase temperature isn’t high enough.
I’ve had endometriosis in the past (although was cleared up nicely and haven’t had any symptoms since), I’m on thyroxine for my thyroid and, I am a bit over weight 😳
I was already starting to symptom spot and getting my hopes up for this month now I’m in a complete panic. I’m just hoping someone can explain it a bit more to me. 😊

What do you mean not high enough?
That looks perfect to me. X

MagicalCreatures · 05/05/2018 12:59

Not the same app but here’s mine. This was the month I fell pregnant x

I am not a doctor and by all means go and get checked out, but the month I conceived my LP temp was 36.5 so lower than yours! Chart looks biphasic and within the normal range to me.

Good luck!

Cakelaur · 05/05/2018 13:56

My LP is usually around 36.6 the month I fell pregnant it was around 36.5 so much lower that yours. It looks perfect.

Thanks everyone for your comments it’s calmed me down a bit. I’ve attached the exact message it posted today. I thought it was looking ok but now I’m not sure!

Thanks magic for sharing. I don’t know if it’s the difference between lowest temp and lutal phase temp.

Caspiana I think I might leave it this cycle and then if it’s the same next cycle I will go as I will have more cycles worth of data (it’s cycle 2 of temping).

Thanks cakelaur, I’ve got my fingers crossed so much this cycle!

I think the issue is not the overall temperature but that the app thinks your temp isn't rising enough (the actual numbers are irrelevant) and that there should be a sharper difference between pre-ov and post-ov temps.

Your actual temperatures are fine; it's the difference between them that it isn't happy about. But I'm not a doctor so I don't know if it's relevant or not.

Cakelaur · 05/05/2018 16:51

Also try fertility friend. It's so informative and tells you when ovulation happened etc.

PinkSocks89 · 05/05/2018 16:58

Thanks celebelly- I’ve googled (I’ve finally broke- i was adamant I wouldn’t!) and it looks like there isn’t enough progesterone to cause a big enough temp rise and therefore not enough to support a pregnancy 😢

Yes because your temperature in the luteal phase is more then high enough (very similar to mine) but I see what your saying about the jump isn’t high enough. Most people have a dip pre-ovulation and then it spikes higher.
But definitely recommend fertility friend. It’s very informative and explains a lot x

Cakelaur · 05/05/2018 18:00

@PinkSocks89 please don't panic yourself. If you had low progesterone then you would have a really rocky chart post ov. You just have a slow rise. I've attached my chart from November when I got bfp. That was a slow
Rise too. Not everyone has an obvious jump in temp.

Slow rise is a perfectly normal chart - I recommend a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility which deals with lots of charting issues. Please do not worry based on that ridiculous message.

If you want to increase progesterone, there is evidence 750mg vitamin C a day can help but I’m not sure there’s any particular need based on your chart. As I say I’m not a doctor but that app is ridiculous - fertility friend doesn’t look as fancy but is probably much better

PinkSocks89 · 06/05/2018 08:54

Thanks everyone. I feel much calmer today after your kind messages. It increased another .04 so not massive but the app is still saying the same thing.
Thanks for the recommendation magical I will download it this morning!
Thanks cakelaur- that’s still given me a bit of hope - I’ve ordered some frer tests just Incase.
Caspiana- thanks I will check how much vit c is in the tablets I’m taking at the moment. And I’ve just ordered that book based on your recommendation 😊
