Chemical but showing a line...confused

Hi there, so last week I thought I was having implantation bleeding. But as the day wore on the bleeding got heavier. I bled for a few days so just presumed that I’d had a chemical. I didn’t take a test but intuition told me to take one tonight. I’m sure I see a line, but is it possible to have a line a week after a chemical? Or can implantation bleeding be heavier than spotting?

If you were pregnant last week how many weeks would you have been? I know it’s possible to get a positive even 3 weeks after a loss.
Regarding implantation bleeding, I was told by my doctor that it would never be heavy enough to consider AF or to use a pad but I’m sure people are different.
Either way, I would keep testing x

By my calculations I was due af last Friday but I started bleeding on the Tuesday. That’s why I intially thought implantation bleeding and then chemical as the bleeding continued. So I would’ve been 4 weeks on Friday. Would a line be stronger at this stage? I’m trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up x x

In my honest opinion I would have thought it would be a little stronger BUT I know you can’t always judge line darkness especially on cheaper tests. My advice would be to hold out and then get a digital (the one which sets out the weeks) and take it from there x

Never had implantion bleeding. Only pain..

I'd do another in the morning. It's a faint line which could be due to un concentrated urine? They say in the morning is better as it's more concentrated. Also different tests are different. I'd get another.

Thanks @RLOU88 I’m being realistic and not sure why I even tested tbh because I knew I wouldn’t trust it if I saw a line. Will wait a few days and test again x x

Had a heavy bleed at 9 weeks which they said was my period trying to break through. In both pregnancies! So could be that too...

Thanks @Blueunicorn. I didn’t think about testing in the morning. Maybe wait a couple of days and test first thing. I hate the waiting!

Get a digital and book yourself a doctors appointment asap xx fingers crossed for you

@2furbabies I’ve just done another test this morning with a cheap test and there’s definitely a line. Will get a digital today and test again x x

@Mummytoboyxx deff get yourself to a doctor and explained you think you had a miscarriage they will refer you to the early pregnancy unit for a scan x

I spoke to the dr who said to test again next week. If it’s still positive then they’ll refer me etc But it’s just a horrible waiting game now. Thanks for al your responses x x x

They don’t tend to send you anywhere this early on sadly as there is not much they can see or do. It’s also so common to have a early loss that they don’t have the capacity.

Hiya I'm also having a simler experience so last month I done a test and got a vvfl but then af came 22nd april so thought it was chemical or even an evap af was light for 3 days then heavy for Andy and half then went I had been feeling sick and light headed so decided to do a test and got a second line this was took 3 days after the end of af not really sure what to think rang the doctors and she made me an appointment with the midwife and said to retest in a few daysi am not sure if this one is also an evap

It’s so confusing. My body is telling me that I’m pregnant. That’s why I did the test. But after the bleeding the week before I was convinced it was a chemical. @Danukok I hope you get answers soon. The waiting game is horrible x x

Oh really I live in Sussex and they must be really good then as I had two scans very early as I had a bleed once which sadly was a miscarriage and the other suspected ectopic because of a bleed and pain but it was actually implantation and my baby is 7 months now 😁 have everything crossed for you op xx

I did a test yesterday which was positive. But I started spotting this morning and a test at the drs came back as inconclusive. I have to wait til next week to get a blood test. Not sure what my body is deciding to do!
