TTC #2 - sperm results

Hi. First time posting so bear with me!
Husband and I have been TTC #2 for 14 months now. We have a 3 year old daughter.
So after 12 months we went to the GP who said he could only offer us blood/sperm tests.
Anyway, DH had his sample analysis done. He followed all of the instructions, however he carried it in his coat pocket as opposed to keeping it warm in his trouser pocket. They said initially that it may have to be redone, which is what ended up happening. So he had to go back to the GP to collect the paperwork, however I have noticed that it states under ‘Clinical Details’ - ‘borderline result - repeat - subfertility’.
So my question is, it is only being redone due to him not storing it correctly or should we prepare ourselves for bad news.
Hope that all makes sense!
Thank you

Been through a similar situation! DHs results came back as 'poor' but told to redo as in wrong container?! I think if results are not great and there are any possible variables which may have affected results (eg not kept warm) then they really have to retest as there is no way of knowing how accurate it is.

Unfortunately in our case the 2nd results were also bad, but don't worry - there is lots which can be done to improve sperm quality and at least it will give you something to work on, which I find less frustrating than not knowing.

Thank you for your reply!
Yes I’m absolutely the same. Would rather know what we are dealing with than be in the dark. Guess we will wait and see and then take it from there.

Generally SA samples are always done twice. My DH had them done and there is an issue but they only said that after the 3rd round of testing when all three showed he same thing. Just because they are repeating them it might not be bad news as as someone else has said there are things that can be done. Good luck
