Coming off the pill

Hi, posting here as figure there will be the most experience.
I'm not TTC and not in a sexual relationship but have recently come off the pill and as yet no bleed. I came off it nearly a month ago but had been taking it continuously for treatment of endometriosis. I've had the odd pill break after 3/4 packs. Sometimes bled, most often haven't. That's normal for me. I've had what feels like a period with no bleeding, lots of PMT and pain. My question is how long did it take for your periods to return after coming off the pill?

What pill were you on?
I was on microgynon and had a breakthrough bleed a few days after coming off and then a period about 2 weeks after that.

Loestrin 20.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Hopefully your cycle sorts itself out x

@literarydevil I’m having. Exactly the same. I came off my pill end of March. No period loads of cramping, face full of spots, sore boobs but no period. Apparently it can take up to a year for cycle to get back to normal. I’ve been on my pill for 5 years before stopping so expecting it to take a while Sad

In the past I've been back to normal very quickly. Maybe it's different now I'm older!

Hi @LiteraryDevil,

I am currently nearing month 6 of no pill and in this time I've only had two real periods.

My last cycle was 51 days.

When I actually stopped the pill I didn't get my usual withdrawal bleed either.

It's very frustrating especially when I am TTC. I have read from the ladies on here that some people go back to normal straight away whereas for some it can take up to a year to even get a period.

Fingers crossed you get back into a rhythm soon! It's horrible waiting and not knowing when it may strike!

Period has arrived this morning with a vengeance! Took 4 weeks to return.

And now another one has started! Only 2 weeks from the last one. Argh!
