I stopped taking my pill in February and since then had a withdrawal bleed, one period after 28 days, one at 38 and one at 18! How am I suppose to work ovulation days and I know it can take some time for periods to settle down after the pill but I am feeling very disheartened and everyone else seems to get pregnant at the drop of a hat after stopping the pill Sad

Trust me, not everyone else gets pregnant at the drop of a hat after the pill, it just seems like it so please don’t get too disheartened. Like you said, it can take a while for your periods to settle down and more often than not, it’ll have settled within 3-6 months but it can take up to a year. It’s really frustrating but there’s not really much you can do about it at this stage. Do you use opks? If you don’t, I’d advise giving them a go. Just start testing right after your period ends instead of waiting a week

Another who definitely didn't get pregnant straight off the pill! 12/13 cycles now and they are only just settling into a regular pattern. My cycles were really long for ages and then I had a few 16/17 day ones in there just to shake things up, similar to yours.

As Bubblegum says try not to get too disheartened and maybe try OPKs if you want to get a better handle of if/when you're ovulating. Good luck xx

Thank you both, nice to know I am not the only one! I used ovulation tests first month and thought maybe it was stressing me out and being too strict but I think I will try again. Thanks again xx

You’re definitely not the only one! Off the pill for three years. Seriously ttc for 18 months and nothing!

Consider an app to help you track if you don’t want to jump straight into opks. I use ovia until I started temping and now use fertility friend.
