Weird Period

Ok so I'm new to this I'm on cycle 4 would normally have started my period on Saturday but Thursday, Friday and Saturday had spotting when I wiped not even enough for a pad. Sunday it was my normal period as if I'd started properly and then Monday spotting and then today I'm not evening needing to wear a pad. I've only had 1 day of 'normal' bleeding. Not tested yet as I'm holding out for tests I've ordered online. The only thing I have done different this month is I took 2 evening primrose oil tablets everyday before ovulation. I'm wondering if this could be why my period is so light? Has anyone had a similar experience?

My "light period" was implantation/pregnancy bleeding, so it's worth testing.

Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for replying... that's what I was thinking, my periods are like clockwork. Trying to not get my hopes up too much though as there's no other symptoms but then I've read for some people the first symptom is the lighter period.

I don't want to get your hopes up either, but I thought I had no symptoms either. Boobs weren't sore, no sickness etc. Although looking back I had symptoms I hadn't realised - appetite had increased more than I realised, was thirstier and I was more tired, but I just put those things down to other things and they crept up on me slowly so I didn't notice them.

Are you planning on testing soon just in case? At least then you know either way.

See my 'period' or what I think is my period started off with sore boobs the same as every month but now they've gone back to normal so now I'm not sure. I've ordered the cheap tests from Amazon don't know how great they are but I'm hoping they come soon so I can know.

Have you tried the strips from Amazon?

No I haven't, sorry.

It may well just be a weird period. But it is worth checking.

The strips from amazon are fine for the price, but not as sensitive as a First Response so don’t work as early. If you are testing daily though, they do the job! Hope you manage to get your BFP!

Thanks so much for replying. Think I'm going to get a FRER tomorrow. Fingers crossed x
