Anyone feel like af is coming but was actually pregnant?

Had a very faint positive yesterday and the same this morning with the Superdrug tests.
On/off crams for a couple of days.
Brown spotting yesterday, but more today with stringy bits (sorry tmi!!!)
Cramps are general now rather than one sided, mild.
I felt sick last night. But that could be anything. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had a chemical pregnancy in January, but my cramps were much worse, and for a good 5 days. Had positive one day, negative next then af the day after.

Has anyone felt sure af was coming but actually found out they were preggo?

Feeling disheartened once again :(

Yes I think it's really common to feel like AF is coming in the early stages of pregnancy. With DD I didn't test until I was 8 weeks as every time I thought i should test I'd feel those cramps and think there wasn't any point. Congratulations on your pregnancy and wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months x

Yes with both pregnancies - particularly strong in the second one, when I'd done a test that was negative and drowned my sorrows and what I presumed was PMS.

Thank you 😊

I'm still not convinced. We've recently received news to take the steps towards ivf.
So I think I had accepted it wouldn't happen and tried to be positive that there are other ways.
Then I got that little line of hope, and started planning how to tell my husband on holiday, as we go away tuesday.
Af comes cd26-28 and today is cd26
I think because I had a chemical in January I'm comparing too much.
Keeping everything crossed!!

What about the brown discharge tho?
Sorry... tmi but just trying to convince myself it's not all over yet

Yes I felt that way both times. I cant recall if there was discharge, but I was confident enough that period was on way the first time that I went out and got drunk. I hope all goes well for you.

Wishful30 · 29/04/2018 14:31

Sounds like going and getting drunk is the way forward 😂😂😂

It's Monday tomorrow, so I won't bother lol

Yes Wishful , I had exactly the same feelings. I had my first fertility appointment on the Friday, after work drinks (3 bottles of wine shared with colleague......) and bfp on the Monday. Good luck!

OliveOrTwist · 29/04/2018 14:37

I did for weeks, I kept checking everytime i went to loo for about 10 weeks. Im 20w now Grin

chubbymummy · 29/04/2018 14:46

Yes, I was sure I was about to start my period too. Somebody later informed me that implantation feels exactly like period pains.

KnitKitty · 29/04/2018 15:59

Yes. I didn't test even though I was a couple of days late because I could feel AF coming on with cramping on and off. One evening I was planning to test the next morning, but then just as I was about to go to bed I had some bleeding. The following day I bled again followed by a few days of brown spotting. The first day of my "period" I had a drink or two as a treat because AF had arrived, but decided to test a few days later as my period was acting so oddly and never really got going. Got 3 very clearly positive tests. (Yes, I tested 3 times because I just couldn't believe my eyes).

Thank you ladies,
Really helping me stay positive!
Keeping everything crossed and hoping af is not coming!!
Still got gut ache but also got ewm added in now, I feel that's not a good sign.

I'll update again tomorrow

Xx

Yes, I had cramps, PMS and my fitbit showed my RHR was dropping. I was even putting pads on because I was so sure it was coming! Even after BFP I had cramps and brownish red spotting up until six weeks. 8+4 now and scans ok so far. Good luck x

Wishful30 · 30/04/2018 12:42

And so I got up this morning... nothing..
no blood, no spotting, no cramps.
Back ache has gone.
My test was invalid typically!! 🙄
The second test I did was negative, but then, it's not my first pee... 🤷🏻‍♀️
Still keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻

Yup it's the progesterone involved in both processes
