Hello All

I've been tracking my ovulation with sticks and just wondering as I've had faint lines last 4 days and wondering when is best time to DTD?!

also how to you know when it's actually +ve?! Is it a lines a line or does it need to be dark/darker than control line to actually detect ovulation?!

Sorry for TMI but cm also is changing from wet to ew xx

A +ve is when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line - different from pg test where a faint 2nd line is +ve! In my experience it can be difficult to catch the peak unless testing twice a day, and I find it useful to compare tests and see if they are getting darker or lighter.

So it sounds like you've had -ves so far, but ewm is a good sign that you might not be far off! I would get shagging if you aren't already 😁

Would you say this is a +ve?!

I'm cd11 of a 24/25 day cycle xx

When to DTD after +ve OV test?!

Which one is the control line? I'm not familiar with those tests! Looks either +ve or very close to +ve! (Sometimes that's as dark as mine get!)

My doctor said don’t wait for it to be positive to dtd it could be too late by then. Looking at the pic you posted I would get down to it for the next couple of days to make sure you’re covered. Good luck

The control line is in square box.

Thanks we have been DTD over the weekend and will try to do it every day for next few (twice if poss 😜)

Fingers crossed xx

When I was ttc we were advised every other day to allow sperm to mature.

As Mrs Jones says don't wait for a positive - you can conceive from sex up to 7 days before ovulation and the earlier in the month you start the fresher the sperm will be at ovulation time and thus the better chance you give yourself. That's particularly true as your cycles seem to be shorter than average. Twice a day doesn't necessarily increase your chances as there will be fewer sperm the second time. I understand that every other day from end of period to 3-4 days after a positive OPK is ideal.

Thanks for the info ladies..... we've had sex every other day recently and will just wait and see what happens xx
