Is this a positive ovulation test?

Hi everyone.

I underwent an ERPC following a missed miscarriage on the 11th of April. I stopped bleeding on the 21st and my fiancé and I dtd on the 22nd and again last night.

Throughout the day I've been getting stretchy egg white cervical mucus and sharp pain in my right side/groin. It seems like ovulation but it seems too good to be true to be ovulating just 16 days after a miscarriage.

Just out of curiosity I took an ovulation test and it came back with this result. Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a positive? I took another ovulation test three days ago and it definitely wasn't that dark. If I am ovulating, what is the likelihood of me getting pregnant from having sex last night? We didn't plan it that way, honest I had no idea when I was going to ovulate because I assumed my cycle was going to be all outta whack.

I also took a pregnancy test and it was still positive, but the line was VERY faint.

Guessing the HCG is still leaving your body from your miscarriage and you’re ovulating at the same time.

I've read that you can ovulate with residual HCG in your system but it's gotta be VERY low. I've also read that HCG can give false positive ovulation tests, but surely if that was the case the ovulation tests wouldn't be getting darker (since my HCG levels are dropping) whilst the pregnant tests are getting lighter? Bizarre indeed!

That’s interesting. I guess keep testing to see what happens. Post a HCP tomorrow I’m so interested to see how this pans out.
I’m sorry for your loss, I had a miscarriage at 14+4, and I hated having to test to see if it was getting lighter.

Ah ok! That kinda makes sense, especially what you explained upthread.

I don’t think there’s enough HCG to cause a positive OPK, I think you were ovulating for real. I reckon that’s a good chance of a BFP in a couple of weeks. 🤞🏻.

Thanks @JustVent, I've read that you can ovulate with residual HCG as long as it's very low. Judging by the test I took today it must be pretty low now.
