I ovulated 6 days later than usual ...

Just that really. I’m usually like clockwork but very recently I’ve been ovulating a week later than I should be (putting it down to stress). This is probably the third time in a year that it’s happened and my period normally follows exactly two weeks after I’ve ovulated (as it would do normally) however, this time it hasn’t. According to the usual pattern, I should’ve come on 3 days ago. I’m getting pains as though I’m about to come on but my boobs aren’t as painful as they usually are. I didn’t think I could be pregnant if i ovulated that late.

When you ovulate doesn’t affect whether you will get pregnant, it’s when you have sex in relation to your ovulation date. Hope that makes sense lol

So if you ovulated on CD20 but the last time you had sex was CD14 (for example) you would be unlikely to get pregnant. However, if you ovulated on CD20 and had unprotected sex CD19-21 ish then yeah, of course you could be pregnant.

I guess what I’m trying to say, is did you have unprotected sex around your actual ovulation date?

Yes we did, for 3 days consecutively. I have absolutely no HPT’s in the house even though I thought I had a spare FR somewhere anyway, I’ve done some OPKs instead the line is definitely darker than it was yesterday but not positive in the sense of an OPK (the second line isn’t as dark or darker than the test line)

Will try and get a test tomorrow.

Late ovulation doesn’t reduce your chances of getting pregnant, as long as you had sex around the time of ovulation.

Well I found that FRER! Looks positive to me!! Early days by the looks of it and having period cramps
