I've been thinking about you and can't seem to see you anywhere. Just wanted to say Hi and see how you were.

Nothing much happening in this camp ... Six months into trying and a big fat zero in the conceiving activity! We have a fertility consultants appointment in July, so major fingers crossed they might do something.
Have you got any details...Do you know the sex?

I'm so sorry to hear that. I would love you to have some happy news. Try to stay positive, 6 months isn't that long, although i know it seems it. Glad you have an appointment. Hopefully you won't need it I was meant to see a specialist but managed to get pg before, makes you feel a bit in control to have appooitments though.

I'm fine thanks, about 27 weeks. Sadly I do still get down about my m/c's though, seems stupid but it's hard to forget them all.

I'm having another boy, but can't quite believe it till I see him, that will be more real.

Rahrah- just read it took you 18 months to concieve ds, I didn't know that. You have been very patient and strong. I hope get a plan of action from specialist, but also pray you don't need one.

HI Uki.... wow another boy... In my heart of hearts when I get pregnant again I would love a boy...(I have never been bothered on the sex and any child will be a blessing, but it will help me with my grief of losing Bertie..I think??) Can't believe you are 27 weeks... that has flown by! Wow... bet you are getting big now! I loved that feeling of being big and obviously pregnant but not massive..I have never envied my friends when they get to the latter stages and look massive! (even the previously skinny ones)

The specialist to be honest has already said he would expect to give us 18 months again before any treatment, as I have had all the tests they are prepared to do and it is just 'unexplained'. But I am going to really argue this as we already waited 18 months last time and then 6 months carrying Bertie and then it would be 9 months again before seeing the specialist again, so in total 33 months of trying to have a baby! Surely they will help... But last time we sure him he classes Bertie as a pregnancy and a birth, as he could of survived...I suppose I can understand what he is saying, but I think someone needs to do something as clearly something is not right..

yes I am getting massive, bigger this time at the same time than last too.

I can understand you wanting a boy, although you are right either would be great now. I used to want a girl but i know I am lucky to get anything at all, and you love them regardless.

The specialist doesn't sound too helpful at all, but what is your option, would you go the IVF path? I thought over a year of trying and you would be considered. I thought about it, but I am impatient.

I would try another specialist for their opinion. I mean i don't know much about you but have you regular cycles, are you ovulating and all that, I hope they have looked at all that>

I'm fairly sure I would of lost this baby too, if i didn't seek second opinion and start taking asprin and extra calcium (regulates blood pressure)But it was the more experienced recurrent m/c specialist that had no advice for me.

Anyway I'm rabbling and probably not telling you anything new, I just find some of the medical profesion irritating.

The specialists has said I am young enough at the moment to not really look at treatment, he would consider it if I had not conceived by 35. I will be 32 new month. I think he really believes time will help us, however it is not years of his life being effected and completely thrown into emotional turmoil! He is suggesting at least another 18 months from Bertie's birth. However I am really going to push the point and demand a second opinion if he is not more forthcoming. I really think there is too many indicators that are saying 'pregnancy is not easy for this person' - catching or keeping!

I second your opinion on medical professionals being irritating... I think the real problem is pregnancy is such a mine field and in my consultants words the 'science' is not there in regards to many issues, that they just hope you are one of those persons it does not happen again too. However you are pretty buggered if you are one of those that has a re-occurring issue! Many doctors seem to vary in their opinions and depths of investigations, it seems to be luck or further knowledge of your situation by getting the right consultant. I have got a referral at Birmingham's Womens hospital waiting for me if I need it for a second opinion, but only in regards to the pregnancy loss not getting pregnant. I think I would have to go private to look at our fertility issues. However I suspect they are linked.
