Period quickly after miscarriage?

Hello. I had a miscarriage on 30th March, have had confirmation via scan that unfortunately there is nothing left, and have had a negative pregnancy test since. I am due my period today and low and behold have the usual cramps and have started to bleed. My question really is, is it normal to have a period so soon? Should I be worried?

I think everyone is completely different and there's no real "normal" after a miscarriage.

I had an ERPC for MMC on the 27th of March and was still getting positive pregnancy tests on Friday. Today at hospital I did my first negative pregnancy test and the doctor told me to see this as the first day of my cycle and I may not ovulate for another week or two and therefore my period might not show up for up to another 4 weeks.

When did you get your negative test?

There's no harm ringing your EPU if you're concerned. Mine told me to ring day and night if I have any concerns and need peace of mind.

Sorry for your loss. Flowers

Thanks both. I got my negative test 2 days ago. I am waiting for a call from the EPU so when they do ring I will speak to them then. It just seems so quick!
