Hi everyone, long time lurker but would love to make friends with others who are TTC as no friends/family at that stage and feeling a bit lonely... 27 year old, TTC 18 months, no BFP's, diagnosed last week with PCOS and awaiting HSG then clomid... feeling like this is a never-ending journey and starting to lose hope. Anyone else fancy a moan?? lol!

Hi not TTC but have PCOS. Took me 18months to get pregnant.
I had a d&c and went to a Chinese herbalist for acupuncture.
The acupuncture regularised my periods straight away. Prior to that I had cycles lengths from 12 days to 60+.

Don’t loose heart. Be kind to yourself.

I find that I have more issues with my PCOS if i’m Even a little bit over weight. I mean like 1/2lb over!

I second @screaming on being over weight totally making my PCOS 10000% worse unfortunately, my cycles are reasonably regular when I'm at a healthy weight. But I have a beautiful baby as does @screaming so PCOS definitely doesn't mean infertile. Don't lose hope OP! SmileFlowers

Yay- friends!

To be honest I think my weight isn't helping. I don't usually weigh myself but was aware I had gotten a bit "plump"- imagine my shock when I was weighed at the clinic and BMI is 31.5!!! Officially obese. Consultant said they wouldn't give me the clomid until BMI under 30 so hoping this will be the kick up the posterior I need to cut out the takeaways and chocolate. Pretty annoyed with myself to think that my own greed could be the thing stopping me conceiving... :-(

@screaming- (not sure how to tag people)- can you tell me a bit more about the acupuncture? I'll admit I've been a bit sceptical in the past of same but I'm willing to give anything a go!

Lovely to meet you all btw :)
