Hi, I'm starting clomid after this period and it says to take it on days 2-6 but doesn't specify when to dtd. I'm going to try every other day but I want to obviously do as much as I can for it to be successful so does anyone have experience and can advise me please?

@myusernameisnotmyusername. My gynae told me - day 12, 14 and 16. I'm going to do 6, 8 10, 12, 14 and 16 though - just in case! I'm starting when my period shows up. Good luck! x

Thank you lookingatthestars. If I started my period at around 3.30pm yesterday today is day 2 isn't it? I'm sure when I had day 2 bloods the woman said day 2 is the second day you bleed.

@myusernameisnotmyusername. I would say so yeah. I hope the side effects aren't too bad lol I'm a bit nervous about that part!

Take the clomid before bed. That way most of the side effects will hit when you're asleep.

If you don't normally ovulate regularly (and that's the only reason to take clomid, really) is Dtd every other day until cd 20 from cd10. That's what we did for my 6 cycles of clomid. Or maybe ignore me because they didn't work...

We did at least every other day through the cycle and I'm glad we kept going as I ovulated later (I think it was around CD19/20?)

Thanks everyone. I think I'm just going to do every other day from day 6. That should cover it then! And thanks for the tip about taking it at night. So I started my period yesterday afternoon so if I take my first one tonight that's day 2?

I dtd 17-18-19-20-21-22 I believe. 3w old right now sleeping on my arms. Basically I was ovulating late so that’s why I didn’t that early. I’d say any time around 14 on should be your ovulating days

Thank you. I've taken it this evening and my period feels more painful and 'heavy feeling' but I suspect it's psychological.
