Me and my OH have been trying since December when I came of the pill. I knew it wouldn't happen straight away but I guess I was naive enough and didn't think it was this hard! We DTD near enough every other day during my FW but I'm wondering if maybe it's not enough?? Any suggestions welcome. If I knew it was this difficult I wouldn't have worried so much about it over the years 😂 TIA xx

Have you tried Glo app? Oh my days some stories on there make you Shock - but the profile bit is actually very useful!! It prompts you when to dtd - just keep all that's stuff from dh, not fair putting extra pressure on him to perform!!

Are you doing ovulation testing so you know when you're actually ovulating? I think every other day should usually be enough but you do need to start DTD a good few days before you ovulate to make sure you don't miss it. Good luck!

Snap regularfries, exact same here. I stupidly thought it would happen immediately as my pals have told me that it did for them & am very concerned we have a problem. My cycle is a bit all over the show but it was 26 days this month so hoping that I’m getting more regular now & will have a real chance in the next few months. I’d just say DTD as often as you can, fingers crossed for both of us!

I'm month 1 of TTC, my husband and I DTD every day during the two weeks we thought were my FW. Turns out, I had an extremely long cycle and we missed the right day.

Month 2, we just DTD every other day from the day my period finished, to the day we got a BFP. Obviously we were mega lucky but it did take the pressure off waiting for the FW and made it more fun and relaxing and less stressful.

I've bought some opks going to start using them after AF. I use an app called Flo? But my cycle used to be 27days but the past few cycles have been around 31 so I think I might be missing my window? I try so hard not to mention it to DH because like Aprilmightbemynewname said... I don't want to put any pressure on him to perform. I'm trying not to get too upset about it because we haven't been trying for that long in the grand scheme of things but just looking for some advice. Thanks ladies x

For apps, I used both Flo and Glow. I like Glow because you can use it to track your temperature. I know exactly when I ovulated last month because my temp spiked. I just bought a cheap St Johns Ambulance thermometer from amazon

Every other day for a whole month.

RockinRobinTweets · 23/04/2018 21:29

Yes just every other day, except for when you’re on your period (unless that’s your thing)

Trying to guess your fertile window, especially if you’re a bit stressed about ttcing and therefore more likely to have delayed ovulation etc is actually quite tricky

NotTakenUsername · 23/04/2018 21:34

First month ttc and I used opk. When the little white stick told us it was time we dtd once... it was Christmas time, we were busy a lot, etc etc.

Baby nottaken is due in September. Blush

Try doing every other day for a few months i found those fertility apps to be wrong and my fertile window was closer than they said it was

RegularFries · 24/04/2018 19:18

Yes I think the apps are calculating my FW wrong because my cycle length has changed so I'm probably missing ovulation. I'm going to take all your suggestions and try opks, glow app and dtd every other day for the whole month (until I get my period, cause no, I'm not into that 😂😂)
Thanks so much everyone x
