Cut a long story short new to using fertility apps lol I normally have 42 day cycle but last month was 33days do i put that as cycle length on app or average 42???

I would do it as 42, if that has been the usual for the past few months. If it continues to get shorter then change it ? X

Thanks @LittleFox01 i was thinking that but it doesnt say ur average cycle the wording is annoying its soo vague lol trust my cycle to mess about when i try to use an app

Hi OP I'd put it as 42 and see how you get on, you can easily adjust it later if it's not matching up

Do you temp, OP? I only ask because I found fertility apps alone were unreliable at predicting ovulation days of my widely variable cycles.
Im convinced that twice daily cheap ovulation tests AND temping was what helped me get upduffed after 6 cycles without doing this.

Thanks @DaisyMay25 i ll give it a go @CuppaTea86 I cant temp very accurately with working all different hrs etc but im trying to do it this cycle ive been testing twice daily with ic opks to help things along @MrsLemonadeBrain natural cycles never heard of that 1 i ll download it yous are such a helpful bunch! Lol appreciate it ladies x

I reckon it's better to err on the shorter side while the app 'learns' your cycles (though not sure how flexible it would be) so it flags ovulation too early if anything rather than missing it.
