Waiting to TTC!

Hellooo!

I’m very impatiently and excitedly waiting to TTC baby #2. I’m nearly 27, DH is 27 and we already have 1 DC, a gorgeous and lovely little boy who is nearly 3.5 and was a surprise (but very much wanted) baby, so I’ve never been in the TTC boat before!! I’ve been broody for the last nearly 2 years and my broodiness levels have sky rocketed in the last few months. DH and I are waiting until September this year to TTC for many very good and sensible reasons but it’s very hard to wait!

DH is currently doing his PGCE/QTS teacher training year and will qualify in July. He’ll be doing his NQT year in September and again finish that year next July, so a baby born next summer would be ideal (DH would be off school and would be around to spend time with baby). We’re also going to be house hunting in the new year with an aim of moving by next spring/early summer and DC1 starts school next September so we wouldn’t be paying for 2 DCs to go to nursery at the same time. DH and I also have a holiday planned for just the 2 of us this August (first one in 5 years!) so I want to be able to drink/eat what I want for that. I also think one more summer concentrating on and having fun as our family of 3 for the last time would be really lovely. I’m currently in a good job with great maternity benefits so just waiting for time to pass!

I know we can plan these things even though we don’t know how long TTC will take or what could happen in the meantime, but I know September is the earliest we can start. Anyone else in the same waiting to TTC boat? All are welcome, no matter what # DC you're TTC. We can help each other keep our sanity!

Hello! I'm waiting to try for #3. I feel like we've been waiting for ages now. We agreed to try for a third around Christmas but wanted to wait so we didn't end up with two under two. I also wanted to avoid another winter baby. We were going to start on my next cycle but are considering waiting one more cycle as I have a wedding to go to and also want to lose a bit more weight. I'm 35 though and both DC took nearly 18 months to conceive each (I have PCOS).
The waiting is hard though isn't it? Sort of just want to get on with it when the decision is made no matter how sensible the reasons for waiting can be!
